Long balls from Slot. Is he doing to moan about his own side doing that?
-
Famous Anfield atmosphere fucking WANK once again. YNWA and it’s quiet.
-
Going to be a proper stinky performance this from Arsenal giving that side. Going to be sit deep, play for set plays.
-
That’s a great result for West Ham. Hopefully the start of Forest dropping away.
-
Man City such a nothing team. They’re done under Pep and need a refresh of ideas. Should’ve left in the summer.
-
We’ve also got UCL, so there’s bigger things to focus on if Isak was to stay. It’s a massive home against Wolves we have to win, then a massive game under the lights in UCL against Barcelona. Really, they’re ideal games to get him back into squad and get it brushed under, as us fans will be fully focussed on the XI starting both games and that’s all that matters. We’d all know Isak would be off either in Jan or next summer, so it’s all muted stuff towards him. Players would respect him if his apology was sincere, as they know he’s key to contributing to their objectives this season.

Villa getting Lammens and he does well, as Martinez goes to Man Utd and continues his decline, would just be the continued story of post SAF.
-
When I saw we was playing in December, the game was harder straight away as he was never going to last till then. Was hoping they would be in first two games, but he’s not even going to make MD1 ffs

If there was somehow a £10m bid there, I’d be wanting us to take it.
-
Verbal offer is bollocks too.
-
This guy can get in the bin. Wasn’t sold on him for price to start off with, even more against any deal now. We can’t be moaning about Isak then take this guy with open arms.
-
They sold Norgaard and Mbeumo for big gains, then all the compo for Frank. They’re in a strong position.
-
I’d even have Leao if needs be, a goalscorer LW to balance out Gordon through middle. If we’re going from Isak who can score 20+ in league to Woltemade / Gordon who can score 15 between them, we can replace the goals from outwide. Multiple areas of pitch we can score from, not just striker. In our games so far, whilst striker finishing has been a point, we’ve not looked a goalscoring threat either from wide areas / midfield in open play.
-
The original stance was “the club would always do what’s best for Newcastle united”. Spending £65m+ on either of these isn’t ticking that box for me. We can moan about PSR, but if we sold Isak and effectively spent more on signing two strikers in one of these guys and Woltemade, we can’t be moaning again in future.
-
Gordon isn’t ideal, but I’d rather have him as a 2nd striker if it meant we signed someone like El Khanoussi who can provide something different in our attack. Then evaluate a long term striker to work with Woltermade for January.
-
At this point, I want him to stay. Not because of his ability, but it’s too late in window and I don’t want us to make a desperate deal that hurts us. A sale can be there in January or next summer, and both windows, new striker opportunities will open up. With 24 hours to go, we’re forced into over paying for either Wissa or Larsen No thank you.

He came on at 0-0, in a twitchy game at HT still in that weird formation. Being safe is understandable, wasn’t like Burno was playing the forward balls either. Only Tonali from all the players were, which was often the quick switch out to Tino on LW Main things I look into his game, is his positional play and showing for the ball. Recycles the passes well. Put him in a 4-3-3 when the front three is an actual front 3 of quality, he’ll look far better, like everyone would be compared to yesterday. He’s also had a season where his confidence would’ve been knocked.

They’ve got two huge home wins, against sides that will be bottom 6. Can’t fault that, got what’s required. But needing yet another amazing headed goal from a cross. Not seen anything about them that suggests it works long term, but if they beat the sides who will finish bottom 6 all at home, that’s 15 points and it’s a starting point that can give them hope.
-
It’s a good move, but their squad is going to look proper smelly in the near future giving the age of some of their key players, especially if they add Asensio as well this summer.

He was very shape before injury. Both breaking lines and moving the ball with passes. Promising. Don’t expect it’s a bad injury, just one of those that when you stop for half time, it seizes up and at this level you come off. Bigger picture to look at.
