We’re only 3 points off the top 5, but the real challenge is that there are 9/10 other teams all battling within the same margin for just 2/3 Champions League spots. That’s a huge pack, and most of those sides are more than capable of putting up a serious fight. What’s interesting is that nobody this season has managed to put together a 6+ game winning run, which shows just how competitive and unpredictable the league has been. (Villa could be the first if they win their next match) but overall it feels like consistency is the biggest hurdle for everyone. Given how tight the race is, I’d honestly be satisfied with a top 8 finish and a Europa League spot. With so many teams in the mix, that would still be a solid achievement.

This is what I am confused about. Is it just bad negotiation skills? I find that hard to believe because if we were able to offer more in wages than Manchester United, then we would have a much easier time. Or are they targeting the wrong type of players they have scouted? Are there more realistic options for us to pursue? We were never constantly in bidding wars like this before.

I said this before. We need better scouters. Was Sesko really worth all this hassle just to not even get him? A good scouting group can save you money and time instead of getting caught in pointless bidding wars that we will lose because we cannot offer 200k plus in wages. With PSR and FFP we simply cannot be doing recruitment like this. We have to work harder and smarter than the big six clubs when it comes to finding and signing players. I feel they are trying to act like one when we still are not there yet. Even with UCL, PSR is not going to let us spend like the cartel 6.

There is no point having this debate which club is better to go to. We all know the answer. Due to the corrupt prem financial rules, team who finished just outside the relegation zone is able to offer a player more in wages than one in the UCL. This is why I've been saying we need to be so much better with recruiting and scouting players. Instead if having to constantly be in stupid bidding wars that FFP won't allow us to win.

We can go on about minteh and Anderson but we still lake when it comes to selling players. When you actually compare the players we sell to other teams we are still lacking. Especially if we want to build the squad. 24/25 season chelsea sold 9 players which included Lewis Hall, Conor Ghallager and Ian Matseen. So many youth players for pure profit. Villa also sold 9 players that season including Jhon Duran, Moussa Diaby and Douglas luiz. Me made 4 Anderson, Minteh, Almiron and Kelly. According to Transfermarkt we brought in over €100m less that villa and Chelsea in player sales People keep complaining about Anderson and Minteh but every team sells players. Our owners need to decide how are they going to run this club to be able to have the growth it needs. We will have to be smarter with our transfer in and out.

Enough with the overpriced prem players. The clubs are purposefully wasting out time. Time to look abroad, like we did with Bruno, Tonali and Isak.

It's working perfectly. The PL would be in disarray if the "glorious" man united continued to be this shit. They will be getting UCL next season the refs will make sure of it. Wouldn't be surprised if even more of our target get poached. The big 6 get bigger and the rest of us get further left behind.

I did think wages would be a problem. Its insane that a team in such a mess can have pull. But that's not the type of personality I want at the club.
