Really hope we play with a focal point up top tomorrow. Just someone who can hold up play. Assuming Isak cant play.
-
Hopefully Eales recovers and this pulls Mitchell and Howe together.
-
Awful for him and his family. Wishing him all the best.

Prefer that to our home shirt.

Paul Mitchell to leave club by mutual consent at end of June (Official)

The Daily Fail should be banned from all grounds. Its a right wing fascist peddler of hate filled bile and anyone with 2 brain cells should wipe their ass with it. Hope is part of that circus and until he finds new employers with a more respectful rhetoric he shouldn't be allowed near the club. -

I wish Chelsea's "rule bending" was investigated. Its staggering what they've gotten away with and seem to fly under the radar in the media. -
Club needs to rally behind Howe. Eales and Mitchell need to support the man who is driving this club forwards.

If its a straight up choice between the two (which it shouldn't but we need the two in these roles to be rowing in the same direction) then Mitchell has to be the expendable one. Good managers, that fit a club and command respect of the players are harder to find than a competent sporting director. Just my opinion. -

I agree with what you say. I do hope Eales isn't too proud to admit his appointment isn't working and can make a change before we lose our best manager in decades. If that is what is needed to calm the situation. -

Ever since Mitchell came in the mood at the club has changed. We felt together with Amanda. That togetherness seems to have gone. -
He reminds me so much of Vernon Anita in stature. Good player though.
-
He looked good again vs Bournemouth. I hope he can help himself by helping us into Europe this season. Having that goal might help him these next few months.
-
We need a lift.

Just plain awful. Eales sounds like a huge problem for us according to Hope's article & a return to Ashley's dictatorship, penny pinching style. Its awful it sounds as though Eales stabbed them in the back and got PIF to force them out. Amanda and Mehrdad certainly got shit done and they worked so well together. Its not been the same club since they left. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds but a bad result and performance vs Spurs could see further cracks start to appear. Gutted the way this summer has gone.
-
Not this summer at least.
-
How do you know he wasnt available? We were being linked in July so its not a deadline day target. An earlier decision to move onto other targets should have been made. Surely anyone can agree to that.
-
The problem is the timing. We should have pivoted much earlier in the window rather than being left empty handed.
-
Agree with this. As I said earlier, if you stand still in this league, others will overtake you
-
Whatever way you look at it we've taken too long to reach a decision. Rumours of an impasse surfaced days ago, we should have had a contingency in place regardless
-
They never needed the money though, thats partly the frustration we didn't walk away sooner and sort an alternative.
-
Stand still in this league and you go backwards.
-
Yeah we've evidently had money to spend. We've just been tunnel visioned in our targets. We needed to have contingency
-
Something doesn't feel right at all.
-
Mitchell's done nothing of substance since coming in. This was a vital window and its been fumbled badly.
-
That and we've left it to 36hrs before the window shuts
