  1. I mean is this even up for debate at this point? He bottled Anfield and he bottle the Emirates.
  2. Strand Larsen or Jackson. That’s it in terms of guaranteed goals in this league.
  3. Worth remembering that Wissa was largely unproven at the time, so pretty believable the power would be with Brentford.
  4. Widely reported that Brentford can trigger it at will. Obviously it would be great if that wasn’t true.
  5. It’s 2 years really, Brentford have an option they can trigger.
  6. The problem we have is, move on to who? I don’t think we want Jackson, not really, and we don’t sign players we don’t want. SL is too expensive. And that’s about it outside of a foreign punt, which again, we don’t do.
  7. It’s feeling like Wissa or nothing. We dont take “punts”.
  8. I would rather Muniz than Hoiland. Jesus Christ.
  9. Also We’re in the champions league and he’s 29. He’s given great service to Brentford but he can’t hang around any longer if he has ambition, they are in a relegation battle by the looks of things.
  10. What do you think he’s good at? Isn’t it at least a little instructive that not even one PL team has been linked despite his “bargain” price?
  11. Sterling is finished man. Too many injures maybe. Was hopeless last season.
  12. Nah mate we need someone who can score. Hoiland couldn’t even really do that pre Man U. Have no idea why people think he has “potential”. Is it because he runs around a lot? His touch is terrible, he can’t finish, woeful hold up play, his movement is predictable and he’s not even as pacy as people said.
  13. Delap is clearly not a very bright lad.
  14. I agree on McTominay, but let’s be honest , people on here had him down as worse than Longstaff. wouldnt want Sancho, Garnacho, Rashford for character/style reasons, Hoiland is just not very good, and who else is there?
  15. We may have to overpay at this stage. I’d rather overpay for the right guy than save 10m on some random punt. Unfortunately our usual option of just leaving it for now is not an option. The season hinges on a centre forward.
  16. I wouldn’t want any of their current bomb squad either, but maybe you see something I don’t?
  17. I’d actually rather Gordon than Hoiland. He is irredeemable. Never sign a Man U cast off.
  18. That’s generous. I don’t think Goldbridge knows fuck all about football within the sky 6 let alone football in general. His “analysis” only works on clueless “global” supporters who just want to win.
  19. I mean sure, I think we can all agree Haaland is stronger than Gordon. to be honest I think Gordon was probably better off going down and getting Konsa sent off, given his finishing of late, I’m not convinced he would have scored.
  20. It’s quite a different example, Gordon never gets clear of Konsa
  21. Yeah ludicrous comment, at full sprint it doesn’t take much to knock you off balance.
  22. The extra frustrating thing is we are not miles away from challenging for the things Isak wants. If he hadn’t bottled Arsenal away last season we could have been 2nd. All areas of then squad are now strengthened, and Isak and Wissa would have been a great forward line.
  23. Let’s not go mad after one game. Liverpool were fortunate and Wolves had a mare. Didn’t think either side looked unbeatable.
  24. Also needs to be pointed out that essentially Aston Villa do not lose at home in any circumstances
