His movement and anticipation is not what you’d want, you could see it in pre season, he doesn’t find space or attack the box with any intelligence. don’t know if he has the footballing IQ to be a premier league striker. Im also unconvinced a loan is the answer, he still needs real coaching as well as minutes, running around every week in the championship isn’t necessarily going to make him more effective for us, but might help us recoup our money down the line I guess. Hopefully he’s firmly 3rd choice soon and then we can see if he’s worth holding onto by next summer.

I get it but away at Arsenal is entirely different. They’ll be dogshit away but will grind out a few results at home

This should end the Osula debate at least. God love the guy, poor service but he offers nothing.

You’ve spoken of your excitement at signing for Newcastle United, just how excited are you to be signing for Newcastle United? Now that you’ve spent less than 10 hours here, what are impressions of the city and the fans and the greater North East area? As a young boy growing up in rural Germany, which Alan Shearer goal would you say is your favourite?

Some bad loans but I’d be amazed if he ever becomes a premier league player. Anyway best of luck to him! -

Yeah possibly. I just can’t get past how bad they were against the worst Man Utd team in history. No fear. -

Maybe, we’ll see. I think with any kind of centre forward we’ll beat them. -

You must not have seen how unbelievably shit Bilbao were against Man U last season. Some very winnable games in that lot. I think we’ll surprise a few. -
I keep hearing that repeated on here but the evidence suggests otherwise to me. He doesn’t have the attributes, the finishing ability or the football IQ. His goal record prior to Man U is not impressive, he must have some genius PR is all I can say. he was underwhelming when he arrived and has just gotten worse and worse.

Gordon is better than Hoiland. Hoiland is fucking useless.
-
Nah. Anyone who’s been paying attention would have seen they were one of the leagues worst sides last season and have truthfully been rubbish for years, just sort of fluking their way through in their classic Maguire in 97th minute way. It’s a chaotic, fairly despicable operation from King Rat and a few attacking signings was never going to paper over the systemic issues. anyone choosing them over a champions league side is an idiot, sorry.

He’s not going to make it. -
Because bad luck isn’t acceptable as a reason to the human psyche. Hence why anti vax grifters is a lucrative game.
-
I don’t think so. He’d have strung us along until Chelsea bid. He’s that type of guy.
-
Mainoo under Howe could be class. When people talk about Hoiland’s phantom “potential” being ruined by Man U, I think more of guys like Mainoo who actually proved how good they were. anyway I’m sure it’s nonsense unless we have a long term injury.
-
People should relax. Eddie Howe knows far more about players than we do. How many more times does he have to prove it. Whoever we get will be a hit.
-
Right but they look like they’ll be battling relegation
-
Wonder if we could tempt Bowen away from this absolute shitshow.
-
Pretty sure this has long been mooted as the new training ground is years away as they don’t even have a site.

Surprises me that these half decent players at lower mid table/relegation clubs don’t all have release clauses. This guy should be available for 50m. Wissa too.
