I think that the artist wanted us to focus on Alexander’s inner peaceful place and take a deeper look at what life might be like to be one of the best centre forwards in Europe. Perhaps it is a fictional place, or maybe it is a real location that means something special to Isak, which influenced the artist to create this drawing. Maybe he was attempting to express an emotion more than a physical place. To me this painting symbolises a calm, pensive gloom that all Newcastle Utd fans experience at some point in our lives, reflecting on who we are, our purposes, and whether Alexander must be sold to balance the books.

I’ve always said he’s a worm by name and a worm by nature.
