  1. Seen us do it loads where someone like Gordon is standing all on his own about 20 yards out and all it takes is a 15-20 yard pass for him to strike from a good angle, and we don't use it.
  2. The first free-kick Coventry had there, I never get why when you're close to the area and need a precise cross, that you don't lay it off to one of the players edge of the box unmarked just to smash it. Could fly top corner, take a deflection and in, surely a higher percentage of a goal?
  3. Oh aye, I just mean on this pitch. None of them look PL footballers.
  4. Just the 10 yards onside there.
  5. Think I'd prefer it without the club name and year around it.
  6. I'd take Flekken or Verbruggen over Pope. Possibly even Kepa & Leno. A batch of mid-table keepers who are absolutely fine with their feet and shot stopping. Trafford just seems perfect, though. Think he's done his apprenticeship now, he's going to be England number 1 in the next couple of years, he's just the ideal fit at the ideal time.
  7. I can see Guehi being similar to Lescott going to City and starting them off as a title winning side. I think Guehi's better than he was but it'd be that sort of profile signing.
  8. I hate that idea tbh. That's what the cups are for?
  9. We've just seen Southampton hold Man City mind.
  10. Most of the season our away record was better than our home record, thankfully since Bournemouth & Fulham we've been shit hot at home and we've got the 3rd best home record in the league now. I'm sure before I spat my dummy out and deleted my account I posted we should aim for around 40 points at home and 30 away and we'll get CL and we're not far off that.
  11. Surely Villa will have one result like our loss at Man U late in the season? (Wishful thinking)
  12. We need another 3-4 positions this summer (at least) where new additions make those positions as strong as the left-wing spot We need a Gordon/Barnes situation in multiple areas rather than taking away one.
  13. Aye, he's been really good again this season and if we can get him for around £40m it'd be a brilliant signing. Could be the starting CB for the next 7-8 years
  14. Was only a kid at the time but Sheffield United v Coventry City has proper 1992-4 Sky Monday Night Football vibes.
  15. Looking at the table and our recent seasons, we're being able to beat City and Liverpool once a season, and taking 4 points from Bournemouth & Brighton each a season away from being title contenders.
  16. Yeah I remember that game ending thinking we'd push top 7-8 the following season, Rafa about to stay on. Then Ashley did his usual. I was also thinking we'd maybe get an Arteta to replace him and we'd still do okay on the pitch. Nope, here's Steve Bruce. Lol. I actually think that summer was the most soul sucking of all Ashley ones because I stupidly enjoyed the Rafa ride. The Bruce appointment just proved he wasn't even trying.
  17. Does this look pretty accurate? Just shows the job we're doing as a club. Amazing.
  18. Third in the league for most saves which is rare for a team that's been challenging near the top. It's normally mid-table keepers or teams going down and been cannon fodder that are near the top.

Is it fair to say the Botman injury last year rescued his career? It was getting sad seeing him left-back starting to get torn apart by some pretty average RWs and mistakes creeping in. Ever since he's went back to LCB when Botman got the long layoff he's been absolutely outstanding.
  20. Wembo ticket marracation.
  21. Today? Yes. A couple of years time? Hopefully not.
  22. Whatever the new badge is I wonder if they'll make the 'I' and 'T' in United easier for the manufacturers to separate as I think every kit provider we've had has had an issue with it in at least one kit.
