Could Billy Gilmour be an option either on loan or for a fee? Not been a regular starter for Napoli this season but I'd take him as our first back-up midfielder.
-
2 wins in 11 games. A fair few draws but other than Forest, they've been losing to the other top 6 teams. We'll be fine.

Not a bad £5m spent in the end. -

Hard being critical of anything the season we're having, but when he's played he's not been great, and now injured again. Just need to get what money we can and move on.

Arsenal vs. Newcastle United: 18/05/25 @ 16:30 (Sky Sports)

After the PSG defeat these were probably just hoping the season would end and they'd coast to second. This is probably the last game they want. -
If Chelsea finished above us though, Forest couldn't? Unless we lose about 0-10 v Arsenal.
-
If Villa lose v Spurs, we're all but guaranteed CL?
-
Must have hated Keegan, Dalglish, Rush, Barnes...Carroll (lol) for leaving their boyhood clubs.
-
If you fancied a bit of a safety bet where you could still win a lump and get a CL spot, Skybet have us 7/2 to finish outside of the top 4. Same odds as we are to finish 2nd.

Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)

Same view as last week for me. Send him to a top Championship team, let him get 40 starts under his belt and get used to being one of the best players on the pitch. When he comes back, look to push for a role in the team. Get a loan/free to cover as 4-5th choice CM while he's away. -
The post saying "but they've spent £400m". Brighton spent £250m just last summer alone.

They're 5 games without a win in all comps, we've lost 1 in the last 5. They're not in better form than us by any metric. I imagine since about November we've probably had more points than them also. -
Would love Forest to get the 5th spot, just because short to medium term I don't see them being as big a nuisance and rival as Villa & Chelsea.
-
Think it's about 80-20 in Sunderland's favour. If Coventry play like Friday they could win it but Sunderland have the goal advantage.

Would sooner swap Barnes and Gordon over but I like the 11. -
Just things you pick up on social media. The same people that sat back and said fuck all about Ashley are twisting at this. I get people not wanting change but that lot can fuck off.
-
That was an unexpected bonus. Bournemouth & Fulham last for City.
-
A lot of these are probably making more noise over this and stadium move than they ever did while Ashley was here.
-
Brereton-Diaz to come full circle, pissing off Newcastle fans on the first game and making Sunderland fans cry on the last.
-
Newcastle fans between 1892-1989 would never have even seen this badge so I don't think so, no. Our generation maybe, but then there'll be a new badge and that'll be deemed "the" badge in 40 years time.
-
Why would they put a "no change" option when it's clear that's not going to happen?
-
I don't mind Spurs winning it. I think we've overtaken them now. Man Utd though, fuck another £200m spent throwing money at it, along with another Champions League campaign.
-
Shame we're not going to have a Bristol City v Coventry final.

I miss the old Bellamy-style bending the run from out wide, to between the centre-backs, to through on goal (to often hit at the keeper or wide tbf), but when the interpretation became more black & white, we've stopped seeing this as often. Law change would bring it back.
