  1. Harvey Barnes excluded and yet Mainoo and Foden who have been utterly useless all season and barely on the pitch are both in. Another reason top players choose the Sly 6 over us in a heartbeat, they get rewarded with international football for underachieving. That’s before you even comment on the likes of Henderson being there.
  2. This would only be logical if the sanctions were against the ownership rather than the club. The club are responsible for their own dealings and should be sanctioned accordingly. Shall we breach FFP this year by £700m, change owners in the summer, self report ourselves and then get a suspended points deduction? Would be one hell of a help for many years to come.
  3. Love that they have the whole week to overthink and prep for this, whilst we’re busy looking forward to a CL R16 tie away at Barcelona. Levels.
  4. We just absolutely need Forest to turn Spurs over next weekend. Any other result than that and Spurs will end up staying up, unfortunately.
  5. We can definitely catch at least one of Villa, Liverpool or Chelsea, they are all turd. We have one tough game left, Arsenal away, and we tend to enjoy ruining their lives.
  6. On another note, after seeing the absolute clamour from all corners of the media since yesterday, I’ve just watched the highlights of the Arsenal game and I was expecting their 12 year old to have scored a scorpion kick from the halfway line… was that last minute goal into an empty net really it? People talking of him in the same breath as Messi ffs
  7. The biggest giveaway is the suggestion that Brighton fans stayed out in Sunderland and weren’t all in Newcastle
  8. Spurs look like they’ve worked on not getting beat by more than 3-0 all week, didn’t expect Liverpool to put a B team out and now have absolutely no idea what they’re supposed to do.
  9. Don’t disagree but wasn’t Shearer on comms during our Barca game for Amazon this week? Punditry in general is appalling though. Unsurprisingly when the only qualification is that you have played the game.
  10. Draw is the best result. Keeps Tudor in the job, doesn’t do much for Tottenham’s survival and keeps Liverpool in touching distance. Liverpool’s last 4 games are Man Utd, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Brentford they couldn’t really have much of a worse run in.
  11. If West Ham take this point and essentially give the title to Arteta, Tottenham better end up going down or the pain of online Arsenal fans going on for the next 10 years will not be worth it.
  12. Reminds me of any generic middle manager who has just completed their NVQ in leadership. He’ll 100% be talking to the players about mood clouds, deep dives, touchpoints and pivots.
  13. If you’re going to tell me that I’ve got particular intentions and sit on a high horse about it, at least use the correct ‘your’. Feel free to let me know what those intentions are, other than wanting my football club to be as successful as possible in line with their own stated ambitions. Yes. I sit up every night thinking of completely out there ambitions (such as meeting our own targets) that I can use in 3 months time to criticise Howe for. Give over man.
  14. Disastrous: “extremely bad or unsuccessful”, not getting into Europe would be an unsuccessful season based on our pre-season ambitions. It would be extremely bad also due to a higher probability of star players becoming unsettled, £40m less revenue which will impact us for multiple seasons, the lower quality players we are able to attract and the impact it would have on our commercial opportunities, restricting growth. There is also no reason why we couldn’t attack both domestic cups whilst in either the Europa or Conference League. It also gives Howe a platform to hopefully further learn how to impact a European campaign schedule. It would set back a team who have the intentions to grow year on year, not sure how anyone can dress that up any way other than being an extremely bad and unsuccessful outcome.
  15. Rosenior has something about him, but not at a club like Chelsea with the squad they have. A team like us when Howe originally came in, to set up a project and aim to progress year on year where players could buy into his slightly strange aura and personality. Maybe somewhere like Leeds. He’ll be sacked by Christmas.
  16. The irony of all irony’s of course is that I’m absolutely delighted, having a great evening and all of the “positive posters” are falling over themselves to be negative about other supporters online. Have a night off lads.
  17. So we’re going to sell good players who will want to move on, not buy replacements as we cannot afford to and do not have the extra games to require them and then have a weaker squad and be outside of Europe. Sounds pretty disastrous to me.
  18. As opposed to needing to sign players in the summer and having £26m less to do so and a lower attraction ability? What a strange point.
  19. Just the tiny sum of c. £26m for going all the way in the Europa League, without factoring in commercial potential, matchday income etc. Possibly the difference between signing another Isak or selling one.
  20. Any of the three competitions would be good for different reasons. Europa and Conference are both winnable, offering us a European trophy and the guarantee of European football again the following season. Conference would also give us good opportunity to rotate, reducing the load on the team. No European football and we’ll see our star players want to move on as well as the financial consequences we’d suffer for multiple years, I’d consider that quite disastrous tbh.
  21. Said it a few weeks ago but any player who has played the number of minutes he has without a rest, in a side that has been poor defensively, will always make an error or two. He was a complete monster today and has been for most of the season.
  22. Not seen it back but no idea how they got away with the penalty in the first half, other than it being Chelsea and Stamford Bridge. Couldn’t quite work out where 8 minutes were magicked up from either.
  23. Glad to see I’m still living rent free in @dcmk’s head. Great performance and result tonight. Massively needed as finishing outside of the European places would be disastrous. Gives us a great platform ahead of Wednesday and into the final months of the season. Seemed to finally get us returning to the shithousing with time wasting, niggly fouls etc and that is absolutely what we’ve been missing to see games out. Need to follow this up with 3 wins in the next 3 in the league which are typically difficult fixtures for us under Howe. Plenty of life left in this season yet but a real pivotal few weeks. Could end up out of the CL and no Europe next season or going deeper into the CL and snatching 5th. Let’s hope for the latter.
  24. There will never be anything sexier than watching this absolute unit run the length of the pitch chasing down some pathetic 5ft nothing skill merchant. You know within 5 minutes of the game starting if he’s in beast mode.
  25. The best player we have at the club, on current form. Should be protected at all costs. You just know come the World Cup, an overweight and useless Luke Shaw will slot in ahead of him
