Needs taking out. Ramsdale is no better but we can’t have him floundering around letting one or two past him each match. I expect Ramsdale will start on Saturday.

His performances definitely correlate to his hair length. Another inch off before Saturday and he’ll be MOTM.

Seems to be coming along nicely. Good performance and looked like a lovely little finish.

Much, much better tonight. Needed a reaction after Saturday and he got it. I don’t think we could’ve asked for better opponents tonight and they were utterly hopeless. However, you have to beat what is in front of you and that is exactly what we did. The movement was visibly better today and phases of play coming together. Great moment for him at full time. Hope this is a ‘Brentford moment’ after Brentford again.

Fuck me. Hope he pulls a rabbit out of the hat tonight because that is some lineup. Thankfully Spurs are absolutely rancid. -

That is a really atrocious statistic. Although, Spurs are as garbage as some of those teams listed so we might be okay here -
He’s a right dislikable cunt but he’s some player, Szlob.

I hate those. At no point does a pull like that cause your legs to collapse. It’s the biggest cheat/dive going in football and happens every game. If you’re pulled and you are impeded, it would be clearly shown as your body would be pulled backwards or out of rhythm from the movement you are making. If you have a shirt pull and your legs immediately collapse, you should get fuck all.

One of the two will get sold on, probably at a profit. Possibly not this summer but I expect next.

Of course we get the other version of Ekitike playing against us rather than this one.

It’s fairly daft to call the first Champions League a write off due to injuries when actually we would have gone on to qualify if it wasn’t for a ridiculous refereeing decision. My main gripe is I’m not seeing any difference or any learning/adjustment. I’m seeing the same errors being made that have been prevalent for his entire time here. Even in the last week, what learning did he take from Trippier being embarrassed two games in a row, only to watch him be at fault for another 2 goals yesterday? He’s had two CL seasons and neither have been managed well and our league form has suffered considerably as a result. There may be multiple contributing factors but there are also very similar issues across both of those seasons that he is responsible for. I don’t disagree that some of the names put about as a potential replacement are either untested (Iraola) or frankly outrageous (Mourinho). That’s why I’ve said on multiple occasions it may be the best decision will be to give Howe another crack at the whip, unless we are confident we can bring someone in we have the confidence will see progression with. That doesn’t mean putting him on hold or whatever idea was floated at me earlier, it’s just sensible ownership. No point sacking a good manager if you’re then scrambling around for weeks trying to find a replacement before getting desperate. Howe’s time with us has been exceptional. He’s given us a trophy I never thought I would see in my lifetime and some of the most enjoyable moments I’ve ever had following the club. That’s why I am desperate for him to turn it around, or at least start displaying some green shoots, as he does not deserve his time to end on a negative note. However, I’m still not seeing anything to suggest that is likely to change. There is lots more to it than that. The whole control/recruitment debate, working with DoFs etc. but those conversations have been done to death already and neither side will probably see the other viewpoint as both are mainly based on hearsay and speculation rather than evidence.

Thiaw and Botman both have a habit of cushioning headers a few feet in front of them to opposition players. It doesn’t help the midfield 3 are always such a big distance away from them but we’ve been caught out numerous times by it.
-
Has Howe not already basically ruled it out by saying he doesn’t like large number of incomings/exits for the first team each window? Only way we get a big rebuild as some think we need is if Howe is no longer here or they go over his head.

Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)
Sir Joel Inton replied to Nobody's topic in Football
Didn’t he say something odd like he didn’t feel great in his body? Bizarre really. Particularly when he got through 71 minutes yesterday and Leicester fans seem to think he looked good. -
True. Would be interested to know who else was on our list other than those we tried unsuccessfully for.
-
His downward trajectory appears to be as rapid as Trippier at the moment. I wasn’t convinced on him on either goal 1 or 3 yesterday, Pope of 2 years ago saves both. Like Trippier, he’s a good guy and done extremely well for us but we’re once again holding onto players too long and hanging them out to dry.
-
As I’ve said before, absolutely no need for personal insults or name calling. It’s perfectly acceptable to have a difference in opinion without resorting to that.
-
If you ignore what I actually said, which was dependent on how he ends the season, yes, we should be considering our options if we finish outside of Europe and there are no green shoots or sign of recovery.
-
This is genuinely one of the most embarrassing takes I’ve read on this forum to date. Suggesting I’m hiding my true feelings on a subject that I get nothing but slated (and never any actual debate) for. Aye, well done lads, you've got me again Plenty on here saying they think he should go now, maybe turn your weird herd mentality obsession over to them?
-
He’s so much better in the AM role with a bit more space rather than being bullied by defenders. Teams have wised up that if they crowd him out, eventually they’ll get the ball off him. I still think he’ll prove to be a more than adequate signing. Our general play is too poor for any forward/striker to flourish at the moment. Barnes is the best finisher at the club and even he looked off it yesterday.

Typically insightful response and debate, as ever.

Incredible that the only defence of Howe from those with their heads in the sand is that he must have time on the training ground in order to deliver. Which, in turn, means Howe can never be a successful manager in Europe, as he will never be afforded the luxury of week long breaks. As for people bad mouthing KK, goes to show how desperate the situation is if we have people who are bemoaning others for being negative and in the next breath slagging off and belittling the achievements of club legends. It’s also unusual to me that the club owners, who have undoubtedly made mistakes, are not afforded the same “credit in the bank”, despite also being part of our success.
-
How is Guardiola in any way relevant? Has anyone suggested Howe is failing because we’re not competing for 2nd with Man City? No. They’ve pointed out we should be doing much better than 12th and based on our expenditure, we should be.
