Chris_R
I remember Paul Brayson being touted as the next Michael Owen. Predictably he then disappeared up his own arse.

Belfast Boy
Apparently there is a young lad hoping to break into the first team this season, very optimistic about his own chances. Shola something or other.

Tom_NUFC
Brayson I think Brayson was a victim of Keegan's poor youth policy. He was banging in goals for fun in the youth team and the reserves and should have been given his chance. Who knows, if he had, it might have been that he wasn't good enough. But he was scoring a phenomenal amount of goals, and at a time when Cole had gone, but before Ferdinand arrived, and our main striker was Paul Kitson. He should have been given a go at this time. Instead he was left to fester, and may well have gone off the boil. I think he was eventually sold to Cardiff.

Big Geordie
I think Jamie McClen is now playing for Gateshead. He's had spells at both Blyth and Bedlington Terriers. David Robinson - a striker from the late 80's/early 90's who scored against Reading in the FA Cup. Now a copper in the East End, who works alongside a mate of mine there. Guest Wally_McFool
Joe Allon Wouldnt say he was crap necessarily but he showed so much promise as a kid playing alongside Gazza in the youth side Same thing applied to his mate Bogie didn't it!
