Willow
We need 2 strikers. Viduka/Owen won't last a full season, and I'm hoping Smith becomes blind and won't be able to play football ever again.

James
Hopefully the ankle specialist wasn't recommended by Emre.
Guest Sniffer
Hopefully the ankle specialist is in nigeria and ...nod,nod,wink,wink....knew that martins's doesn't give a rat's arse about the screaming eagles.

Dave
http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_3681938,00.html Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins will be fit for the start of the new season. Reports in recent weeks have suggested the 23-year-old Nigeria international could miss the beginning of the new campaign with an ankle injury. But both the player and the club are mystified by the suggestion, and he is expected to join up with the rest of his team-mates on July 7 for the start of pre-season training. Martins sat out the Magpies' closing-day defeat at Everton with a knee problem and did not figure in his country's recent friendly against Euro 2008 co-hosts Austria. However, that injury has since cleared up and Newcastle fully expect the £10million forward to return to Tyneside fit and well.

Dokko
Shame, if he's injured he isn't leaving.
Dave
Shame, if he's injured the papers find it more difficult to invent stories about him leaving. Fixed that up for you there.

JH
I'm glad that story came out, because until it did, Oba had planned on just leaving this season's scoring at one. Phew.
AyeDubbleYoo
At least we know tactics aren't going to be an issue this season.
kirkwdavis2001
I thought the mask had been banned by the FA? Hopefully not like, it'll be great to see it when Jonas gets his first goal. By the look of things at OT that won't take too long either!

Nobody
Think Martins will have a terrific season this year, tbh. He's a confident-player and if there's anyone who can keep him confident it's King Kev.

He's a confident-player and if there's anyone who can keep him confident it's King Kev. Completely agree. I'm expecting 15 premiership goals from him at least. If he could get 20 that would be remarkable.
Skirge
was more about if KK would stop Oba doing his flips as other mangers do with their players, but Keegan being Keegan love Oba doing his flips and wants Jonas to score and wear the Spiderman mask.. EthiGeordie
Martins is the best player we have at this club at the momment I said it before I say it again. If we give him the opportunity he will fulfil all his potential.
