We have a big job to get that confidence back, its plain to see that with a little bit of it we can look fine, without it we are going to get in a relegation fight. I know Barton isnt up to speed, but ive been shocked this season by just how slow he is. And hes a good player all round to boot, bar the slowness. Very, very dissappointing from him this season. The typical Newcastle scenario would be for us to secure saftey, putting our hopes into Keegan to rebuild us over the summer. He fails miserably and we're somewhere between 12~17 again next year. The point is we didn't want to buy someone we'd just have to replace again in the summer. This season was written off from the start. Things are going as planned as long as we're not relegated. Boro were well worth their point but with Dong obstructing Carr that goal should NEVER have stood. Thought Barton had a good game at least - PLEASE play him or Faye instead of Butt ffs.
