Parsley
The Ambrose one alwayus confused me. How did we manage to sign him, given that it was March? With Ipswich in administration, the Magpies have been able to secure his signature even though the transfer window closed in January. Helps to read sometimes

LooneyToonArmy
has anyone on here seen this lad play then? Trying to remember if I saw him last year, but haven't a clue. So no does it matter if anyones seen an 18 year old prospect play? you have to presume that the people being paid big wages have watched him enough to see potential you think arsenal fans are sitting there saying "arsene's signed an 18 year old from timbuktu...anyone seen him play?" i read arsenal-mania a bit and that seems to be the bulk of their discussion tbh! wasn't having a go at anyone, just wondered if anyone had seen him play and could tell us what kind of player he is. seems not though. oops, apologitas imagine that...arsenal fans discussing arsenes latest prodigy? the audacity...same as everyone always says when they beat us in the fa cup final, what set of stuck up clueless wankers (apologies ash) nee bother. arsenal fans - nah they're just curious. they have a thread about carlos vela, who hasnt played a game for them, that has been going the same amount of time as a thread about fabregas. the fabregas one has reached 19 pages, the vela one 40 pages (that's without mentioning the separate 25 page thread about Vela which is also going strong)! Vela has been a regular for the last 2 seasons in La Liga and I must say he looks a canny little player
Shearergol
Sam Vokes 18 yrar old from Bournemouth signing according to AO Honestly? He's very close to signing for Burnley from what I've heard. Certainly building up a youth/reserve team aren't we. Aye here is the link http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/03/13/united-swoop-for-young-gun-vokes-72703-20617218/ I am told that plans are well advanced to bring the 18-year-old to St James’s Park – and then lend him back to the Division One outfit until the end of the season. Surely that wouldn't be allowed? signs a contract but wont transfer till next season He can sign now because Burnley are in administration and need the money, similar to Ipswich when we signed Ambrose. Bournemouth you mean? Thought they'd found a buyer to bring them out of administration now? Their manager was on SSN quite a bit yesterday and he said something about not selling any players. Mowen
Aaron Lennon. no thanks Massive improvement on Milner, would add some much needed pace and directness (is that really a word?) to the team. Would be a, potentially, very good signing imo. If the gossip column is right about Ramos listening to offers we could probably get him for £8m or less. Well worth looking into. He's faster than Milner but arguably his end product is no better and that's why Ramos probably wants rid.

Would be a good start in rebuilding the midfield, plus in Lennon and N'Zogbia we'd have one of the most exciting, if not polished, pair of wingers in the league. TRon
It will be interesting to see what type of players Keegan has got in mind as transfer targets. Henry would be a typical Keegan signing - quality but maybe past his peak.

Baggio
I think Lennon's quality. I'd definitely take him here. Lennon reminds me of a young Kieron Dyer, lightening quick with a decent footballing brain to go with it, some of the one touch football he plays at Spurs is excellent, his crossing can be poor at times but having the pace he's got means he won't have to cross it into a packed penalty box as much. La Parka
I'd still like to see us go for Crouch. I'm not sure if he would come here either, still with Jobbers like Kuyt and Voronin ahead of him he just might. Can see him going back to Villa personally. Heron
Berbatov Whoosh? Aye, fly him in. Seriously? Couldn't see him making the step down tbh. It is a possibility, but I wouldn't say it was realistic. He loved Shearer and said he would love to walk out wearing the number 9 at St James IIRC. So he might, but I seriously doubt it. Quality striker though.
Yorkie
I'd still like to see us go for Crouch. I know you've been banned Yorkie but you do realise Allardyce has been sacked, right? There's nothing to say he wouldn't work with Owen or Martins. And that's without resorting to long-ball, but it means we can play it (with a greater effect) if we wanted to. The guy's got a lot of quality imo. Decent header of the ball, good footwork, decent finisher. I don't think our striking department needs a lot of investment, that's my honest opinion. We only need one or two recruits in the defense aswell. It's all about the midfield. When the midfield improves, the strikers and the defense will.
