TaylorJ_01
So I thought they might do something sensible with the Kenwyne Jones money.

Could be the afforementioned £15m Carlton Cole. £15m? FIFTEEN MILLION POUNDS...Carlton Cole. I know times have changed but back in my day £15m would buy you an Alan Shearer. BottledDog
Hopeully it'll be the same result in Ashley's ''wow'' signing Had no problem with Ashley's "wow" signing tbh.
Gash
Hasn't Mourinho previously announced his admiration for Jenas' ability? Could be considering a sneaky swap deal for Lass? If that happened I'd be straight to the shops to buy my new Jermaine Jenas Real Madrid Jersey. He said himself it was bull and he wouldn't be interested in signing him, he said he thought he was a good player and put him in his fantasy football team that was all it was. http://www.journallive.co.uk/safc/safc-news/2010/08/24/bruce-is-close-to-marquee-signing-61634-27122943/? Quite a few on SMB reckon its Asamoah Gyan Very good player, i was very impressed by him at the World Cup.
ponsaelius
Gyan is not worth big money, average player.
1878
Gyan is pretty crap imo. Anyone who has watched him outside of the World Cup knows he's no more than average. Even in the World Cup two of his three goals were pens.
Village Idiot
Zaragoza has bid for Trezeguet, although most observers reckon there's no chance Juventus will accept the terms.

ponsaelius
That's a bargain. West Ham fans are livid.
Guest Heneage
Could cry at the fact we probably didn't even consider a bid. £1.7m in the queens money with 240k extra if they stay up.
ponsaelius
Gold and Sullivan are idiots, when they've got the likes of Piqiuonne and McCarthy upfront and they're selling a genuinely talented player like him for peanuts. Crazy, tbh.

Guest Heneage
If you're in a relegation fight like they will be, you need players like Diamanti who won't go hiding, not Benni McCarthy who was still struggling to lose weight.

Tbh, his allround game is poor. He doesn't track back and often flutters in and out of games, I wouldn't call him a fighter. However he does have genuine ability on the ball and a cracking left peg, he'd have been a great squad player here.
Disco
The fact that Benni got to fat to play for his country when they were hosting the world cup speaks volumes about him tbh.

It's not about fighting as in battling and working bac, it's someone who won't shy out of the game when it gets hard like Nolan last week, if anything it makes him better as he gets more fired up, I just think played in the hole by Carroll he could have worked so well picking off the flicks and 2nd balls. Segun Oluwaniyi
They have brought in Obinna. He's a completely different type of player, obviously, but I suppose he could be seen as a free replacement.

Segun Oluwaniyi
He's not very good at all. Not terrible, just average. It's actually a shame he's spent all this time stagnating in Italy while being contracted to Inter, imo. Good enough for West Ham, anyway. He'll do something good every few matches, and fits well in England, imo.
leffe186
Diamanti must have been on one of those silly West Ham contracts. The ones where they added a zero for comedy effect.
