Can't believe Ferguson got away with that one, fair play to him

He either thinks that...

A) Arsenal are no threat wotsoever, so we can ship out our deadwood to them

B) Arsenal are a threat so we'll  send them Silvestre to put dead any hopes of them putting up a decent title challenge

Either way it's a win win for Fergie .

Don't rate Silvestre, but I do rate Wenger...

Wouldn't be suprised if he has an immense season. Won't hold my breath though.

Aye. Considering the mooted fee, I don't see the big issue.

Think Cisse will be a great signing for Sunderland. At least they are much better off with Cisse on a year-loan than splash big money for the likes of Saha.

22 goals in 50 matches for Cisse last season (16 in 35 league games).

pmsl at Silvestre to Arsenal

Arsenal's defensive cover is an absolute joke. The likes of him & Senderos will clock up a fair amount of games this year and the pair of them are total shit.

How can you expect to challenge for the title when your second choice defenders wouldn't get a look in at clubs like Boro? Farcical situation.

Sadly I feel like I have to agree. Compared to last season the inbred mongs have done fairly well in the transfer market this time around in my opinion, which really grinds my gears as I'd rather still see them throwing away money at useless cunts.

Why are they loaning him out?

He has a nasty habbit of breaking a leg.

Has still played ~40 games average in the last 8 seasons, and scored in them ~19 goals (assuming the statistic on wikipedia is correct)

DIMITAR BERBATOV faces a furious Spurs backlash after we snapped him signing a Manchester United shirt.

Livid Tottenham have already reported United to the Premier League for openly trying to lure him to Old Trafford.

The sight of their striker signing a Red Devils shirt will spark further outrage. An onlooker said: “I was gobsmacked when he took the shirt and signed it.

“He didn’t have any problems with it at all.

“If I was one of Berbatov’s team-mates or a fan, I’d be furious. It is incredibly disrespectful — he may as well have kissed the United badge.”

Berbatov, 27, signed the shirt at Sofia Airport as he set off for Bulgaria’s friendly in Bosnia-Herzegovina where he scored twice in a 2-1 win.

United have already bid £25million for Berbatov, who — as revealed exclusively by SunSport — handed in a transfer request on Saturday.

But Spurs are determined to hang on for £30m.

Tottenham legend and Sun columnist Jimmy Greaves said: “Signing the United shirt is certainly cheeky.

“He clearly wants to leave. If he doesn’t want to stay they should get rid of him.”

Spurs fan Bernie Kingsley said: “This brings back memories of when Paul Ince posed in a United shirt when he was still at West Ham.

“I just wish Spurs would sell him and get it all over with.”

It seems an agreement will be made within the week.
