Guest BooBoo
Cant see a thread on this one but Oliver links us to making a move for Fulham's David Healy in tonights Chronicle. Thoughts? Grossly underwhelming or useful squad addition?
Minhosa
Our new version of Paul Kitson if this was to happen, imo.
toontownman
New sibierski, minus the skill and baldness.
colinmk
Has looked pretty class whenever I've seen him for NI. Haven't really seen him at Fulham much.
Karjala
IF we got rid of Smith and Ameobi, i would take Healy as a fourth striker. Though with Viduka and Owen in the squad, he'd probably get a fair few starts.

Hes super for Northern Ireland Im biased tho as im from NI But id like to see him in a decent team getting decent service
Guest Jungle Barry
Well at least he scores goals which is more than can be said about our two current squad "strikers"
colinmk
Would rather him on the bench than Shola or Smith anyway.
cubaricho
Would rather him on the bench than Shola or Smith anyway. Have to agree with this, especially if we can con Everton into taking Smith off our hands.
Baggio
He's average. Lucky for us it's from Oliver.
Dokko
Would rather him on the bench than Shola or Smith anyway. Have to agree with this, especially if we can con Everton into taking Smith off our hands. In this group. He's a much better option, and we need backup of some sort. His wages shouldn't be too bad either.
Coxaux
Fact is we need a striker better than Shola or Smith willing to sit on the bench. He ticks those boxes.
Guest cfhpantera27
Being from NI of course i think 'Sir David' a legend.. would love to see him here in the black and white!! seriously tho, hasn't really proven himself in the premiership, but i would have more confidence in him filling in for Oba or Owen than having to rely on Smith or Ameobi, scored a hat-trick against spain.. most goals in a Euro quailfying campaign.. says it all really
chicago_shearer
Could do worse. If we spend the Smith money on Healy I wouldn't complain at all.
Decky
Better than Shola and Smith, could be very good for us under KK. Sign him up.
Kimbo
I would rather get a good up and comer, not some average 29 year old who never made it.
Dave
This is what I meant when I said I'd rather have a younger player than a cheapo. Like Derdiyok, for example.
1878
Why replace one shit player with another? Healy couldn't even cut it in the Championship for Leeds, nevermind the Premiership.

I don't understand people saying it would be a good move. We need to bring in someone who will at least push Viduka for a first team spot, preferably someone better unless it's a quality young lad. If Healy came here I'd be disappointed.
OzzieMandias
Would rather him on the bench than Shola or Smith anyway. Agree but it's not saying much.

wrightstuff83
as other posters have referenced, being a newcastle fan from norn iron, this would be a dream come true! Truth is, he has NEVER done it at club level and is pretty un-neccessary ie. we need a target man as a focal point of our attack. Plus if dennis wise really is director of football (open brackets, shag brackets, close brackets) i would really doubt the substance in this, he didnt even rate him at Leeds and played him right wing!
