Compare it to Max & Paddy, for which Kay disposed of his former buddies. Shite. Kay did some good comedy, but he couldn't expand on it and became a one-trick pony (see Bill Bailey). Spikey's stand up was never great, similar but worse to Kay's. A better comparison to Max & Paddy would be Spikey's shit comedy that was axed bv ITV half way through and that dreadful Fitzmaurice one with Lilly Savage.
