Cronky
There has been a rumour that Faye wants to return to the North West - he was linked with Blackburn a few weeks ago. Depends whether you count Stoke as north or midlands. Either way, he won't want to go to Stoke.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
"Stoke City have tabled a £2m bid for Newcastle midfielder Abdoulaye Faye, 30. (Daily Mail)" Why can't we all be football journalists? No qualifications are required by the looks of things. You don't even need to check the simplest of facts to get your story past the editor and into print.
Guest shearer_206
Can't say I would be impressed with this. Especially at £2M. We need all the competition for places we can get at the back and apart from the odd game Faye has been pretty solid for us. If he is 'homesick' then fair enough, but I can't imagine so, it's not as if he is from the NW is it!!
AyeDubbleYoo
We won't be selling Faye, it's not going to happen...
relámpago blanco
If he's homesick can Owen not just drop him off on his way to cheshire in his chopper?
Mowen
Hang on. So Abdoulaye Faye, from Dakar, Senegal; a man who played for Lens for 4 years is homesick for Bolton? Hmmmmm.

Kasper
So with Coloccini as a midfield playmaker our CB pair will be Taylor & Cacapa. Quality
Guest Rob X
Still not a problem. If he wants to go let him go as long as the price is right. We can get somebody else in as it's not like you are replacing ronaldo.

Aye coz thay have found is so easy so far to sign players, and Faye is our best CB scary as that is, selling him would be stupid.

It's not that much of an inaccuracy when you consider he's often played there and a lot of people think midfield is his best position.

Baggio
"Abdoulaye Faye is a player we have been linked with in the last few days, possibly even a week or two," the chief executive told Sky Sports News. "Yes, he's a player that Tony's interested in and along with one or two other players we will be keen on doing something. "We're in talks at the moment with one or two and let's hope that we're successful in clinching one or two of those deals, possibly even before the weekend. "I'd like to think that one or two are imminent." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_3981404,00.html

sempuki
Just plain daft if it's true. Who will we replace him with? Danny Gabbidon? I'm sure he'll create a huge stampede of folk trying to snap up the many unused season tickets.
