Really? Where did you hear about that deal?

my source ;)

I guess that means Elano wont be starting as much? hmmm, creative midfielder we could have done with ah well

Can see them playing a 4-5-1/4-4-2 with Kompany, Wright-Phillips, Elano, Petrov, Robinho and Jo.

Absolutely brilliant player. Been tracking his development ever since seeing him do about eight lollipops one game for Santos. Was disappointed he went to Madrid initially mind instead of Arsenal. Has not turned out as good as I thought he would though.

Poor, poor SWP. Moves back to his old club, thinks he's getting first team football...

Next day another rich bastard shows up and buys Robinho for 32.5m

I assume Robinho will play a more forward role?

I don't see them playing with Robinho up front backed up by Elano. Out of Elano, Petrov, SWP, and Robinho one has to be dropped. I can't see it being anybody other than SWP.

just what i was thinking

though he's probably more likely to push Elano out of the side imo

Wouldn't they go 442 and play Robinho as a second striker behind Jo?

With SWP-Elano-Kompany-Petrov as the midfield quartet.

Thats what i was thinking

That team would be horrificly unbalanced. And they'd have to boot Michael Johnson out of the side which sounds like a bad idea.

From Wiki:

...On August 27, Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said that the club were "confident" that the transaction would go through, but Real Madrid backed out upon learning that Chelsea had begun selling Robinho's jersey in their online store before the transfer was even completed.

LOL :D
