Big Geordie
Can't believe there are people on here who are blaming the players, comical. The players shouldn't carry the whole blame, but many of them seem like they don't want to be here. There'll be a huge rush to stick in transfer requests, this January. Gutless. KaKa
The majority of our players are pretty much bastards. They're just reminding us how bad they really are both in terms of ability and character. They will pretty much take any excuse they can to not to do their jobs. They're taking advantage of the situation at the club as an excuse not to deliver on the pitch. Bastards. At the end of the day they are getting paid a hell of a lot of money to play for Newcastle United and not Kevin Keegan. They're is noe excuse for this poor of a performance. Ever. This is the squad Keegan said only needed a few changes to at the end of last season? Bunch of bollox. I despise the majority of them immensely. It's part of the reason I wished Ashley had managed to clear them all out when he wanted to and bring in younger hungrier players. They have all gone so stale. They are pathetic. thomas
So Keegan's role was to get a half-arsed under populated squad to play above themselves and just about make mid table and his leaving having exposed how weak and based on confidence that squad is that somehow remains his fault? Fuck right off. Aye, leave king Kev alone. It's not his fault he done a runner at the worst possible time leaving the club in the shit. B...b...but he was forced into it, he had no choice. No such thing as free will.
Novocastrian
The player deserve all the shit they are getting. A team of, mostly, current and former internationals with no pride. I'd rather watch Ardiles' team of young lads getting battered every game but giving their all for the team.

To be honest, him leaving has left us in the mire and although I understand his reasons I am not impressed with his handling of the whole affair either. We don't really know what has gone on behing the scenes, but publicly Keegan has always followed the company line. If he wasn't happy he should have voiced his concerns earlier (internally at least) and exposed Ashley & Co earlier for what they are rather than leaving us in this shit situation we are in right now.. I keep being told far better managers would have come but for the protests/sale - Keegan could have thought that as well.

Novocastrian
Keegan was holding on for the end of the tranfer window. I'm sure he was as shocked as the rest of us that the new "management system" had let us go into the season as short manned and pitifully unprepared for a PL season. Those chickens are now well and truly home to roost.

Guest LucaAltieri
Forget Keegan and Ashley. The problems lie on the pitch at the minute. Missed the second goal... first goal was clearly offside. Everything seems to be coming through the middle. No real surprise as Blackburn are playing 4-5-1. Coloccini has been playing well (but supposedly at fault for their second) cutting out an awful lot of of their plays. Taylor is having a shitter. Not done one thing right so far today. Bassong and Cacapa have been covering him when he goes missing. N'Zogbia looks dangerous when he gets the ball out wide but it seems like Duff has been parked (and "parked" is the right word) on the wing with Zog playing through the middle. I feel for Duff a little bit. He hasn't done a lot wrong. His pace has gone and it's causing him problems, but it seems everytime he picks up the ball he's got a couple of Blackburn players swarming around him which limits the balls he can play. Owen and Xisco are in dire need of some service. They've had to fight for just about every touch they've had. It's a shame because when Owen has picked up the ball deep he's managed to pick out a decent pass to create an attack. Geremi needs to fuck off with the corners. Is Butt on the pitch? Our midfield is being overrun. We need to do something about it but the lack of options on the bench nips that one in the bud.
Big Geordie
The value of the club will be dropping by the day now. No way will Ashley get £3-400 million.

Which other manager wouldn't have "done a runner" if put under the same circumstances ? Jose Mourinho? How about Bobby Robson? If you're not happy having players bought for you then he should have gone when Jonas arrived, not on the day after the transfer window closed which was the worst possible time. If it was any other manager the fans would want him hung by his bollocks.

Most of the players brought to Newcastle were done under his blessing, except maybe in his last year in charge but by then we were already 2nd, 4th and 3rd and had a proven premier league team but mostly by him alone... Novocastrian
I have visions of the entire team trying to escape from the ground through the team bath, a la "Escape to Victory". Just as they are about to do a runner into the Newcastle sewer system and to safety a lone voice pipes up. "come on lads, we can win this". The players then head back up into the ground and out onto the pitch and we win 3-2!
