'Geordie lad' © Anal Oliver, Steven Taylor will be back in the starting 11 as soon as he is fit & we all know it.

No matter how well Bassong has played.

That will be him replacing Collocini then.  My prediction is that the back 4 next week will be similar to todays.

Having finally played in his proper position more and more seeming buy of the summer.

Another tick for the Wise/Jiminez scouting system then

Another reason why I don't get people booing Wise, he's done nowt but get good players in.

Laid the ghost of Steven Taylor to rest in his last 180 minutes of play.

Outstanding today. Best player on the park by a mile.

totally agree, bassong is strong, quick, good on the ball, good in the air, and when he makes mistakes has the pace to cover. he also looks like a great natural partner for colo. 100% keep him in the team

Guest optimistic nit

he was really good, but i hate getting optimistic over our players because it usually ends with us getting kicked in the balls.

I'd bet he brings Taylor back and moves Bassong to LB, just because Enrique looked super shaky today. Don't think I'd particularly agree with that decision to be honest.

Aye, was just about to say this. Thought he'd do it against Boro tbh.

Still kept a clean sheet though and in fairness to Jose he was the one most affected by the fog today as that left-back corner seemed absolutely covered.

He'll surely not alter it after another clean sheet.

Some people have seriously low opinions of Fat Joe

Bassong was quality but i think whats more importent him and colo have a very good understanding and cover for each other very well, as said even though Enrique was poor you have to stick with the same back 4 again next week.

Theres a saying which goes like this, do not fix something if it isn't broken and I think it is fair to say that Bassong and Coloccini have been playing very well together in the centre of the defence along with Beye and Enrique as well with the latter still looking very shaky at some moment. Taylor has his work cut out for him if he wants to get back into the team. I still have a lot of confidence in him though. As long as Cacapa is not playing, I have not much to worry about.
