Crumpy Gunt
Laid the ghost of Steven Taylor to rest in his last 180 minutes of play. Outstanding today. Best player on the park by a mile.
Cheshire Mag
'Geordie lad' © Anal Oliver, Steven Taylor will be back in the starting 11 as soon as he is fit & we all know it. No matter how well Bassong has played.

No matter how well Bassong has played. That will be him replacing Collocini then. My prediction is that the back 4 next week will be similar to todays. Liam Liam Liam O
Having finally played in his proper position more and more seeming buy of the summer. Another tick for the Wise/Jiminez scouting system then

Another tick for the Wise/Jiminez scouting system then Another reason why I don't get people booing Wise, he's done nowt but get good players in. Guest BooBoo
I still think its a bit daft that people cant praise Bassong without slagging Taylor at the same time.
Wullie
Outstanding today. The way he mugged Alves time after time in the first half was hilarious.
Dr Venkman
Laid the ghost of Steven Taylor to rest in his last 180 minutes of play. Outstanding today. Best player on the park by a mile. totally agree, bassong is strong, quick, good on the ball, good in the air, and when he makes mistakes has the pace to cover. he also looks like a great natural partner for colo. 100% keep him in the team
Guest optimistic nit
he was really good, but i hate getting optimistic over our players because it usually ends with us getting kicked in the balls.
steve_69
Any manager who meddles with his defence after 2 consecutive clean sheets away from home would be fucking mental, and i don't think JK is. It'll be the same back four next week
CPL
He kept faith in Ameobi when Owen was fit so i have little doubt he will keep faith with Bassong even if Taylor is fit.

thenige
I'd bet he brings Taylor back and moves Bassong to LB, just because Enrique looked super shaky today. Don't think I'd particularly agree with that decision to be honest.

Rich
Still kept a clean sheet though and in fairness to Jose he was the one most affected by the fog today as that left-back corner seemed absolutely covered. He'll surely not alter it after another clean sheet. Some people have seriously low opinions of Fat Joe
Yorkie
Guilty as charged. Leave me in my bigotry.
oldtype
Bassong was the best player on the pitch today and it was plain for everyone to see. No way Taylor gets back in after this.
Baggio
Early days but I don't really see any weaknesses in his game. Lets hope he can continue this form.
Tooj
Having finally played in his proper position more and more seeming buy of the summer. Another tick for the Wise/Jiminez scouting system then I thought Vetere was the scout?
9
Bassong was quality but i think whats more importent him and colo have a very good understanding and cover for each other very well, as said even though Enrique was poor you have to stick with the same back 4 again next week. TRon
He seems to have got physically stronger since the summer as well. Maybe it's just the experience of playing in English football, but he looks a very good defender.
Guest toonlass
He is class. I think JFK would be mad to drop him and Colo as they are playing well together.
Guest The Wise Guy
Theres a saying which goes like this, do not fix something if it isn't broken and I think it is fair to say that Bassong and Coloccini have been playing very well together in the centre of the defence along with Beye and Enrique as well with the latter still looking very shaky at some moment. Taylor has his work cut out for him if he wants to get back into the team. I still have a lot of confidence in him though. As long as Cacapa is not playing, I have not much to worry about. cp40
dont think we will see much more of Carapa, looks like we could defend ourselves into the championship tho,
