Robster
whatever. if we had bought him from stoke and he scored in the last minute and celebrated like that we'd love him for it. stiff upper lip, boys. Thats exactly it. Part and parcel of an ex players make up.
Superior Acuña
I was pissed off by his 'shhh'. I was disappointed to see him go and didn't seem him get any stick. What was the need?
Guest Heneage
Was very classy from a player who got no stick while here, enjoy relegation.
Cronky
It sounded like he got a little bit of stick when he missed a chance a few minutes before. That may have prompted the 'ssh' gesture. Doesn't put him in the right, I know, but makes it more understandable.

Guest Phil K
whatever. if we had bought him from stoke and he scored in the last minute and celebrated like that we'd love him for it. stiff upper lip, boys. Tripe. We'd still be saying "Was that really necessary ?" while happy with the goal. His mocking of the fans was disgraceful. Bramble didn't and to be honest he had more reason to. I'd heard that this bloke was quite a turd, and he's just proved it yesterday. Thats exactly it. Part and parcel of an ex players make up. Its NOT common - Part and parcel of a small minded what-passes-for minds. Tell me - how often do YOU see it ?

robbo_11
What did people think of his performance? I would rather have Bassong and Coloccini, but thought Faye provides more danger from set pieces then most of our players.

Guest WashyGeordie
He scored against a former club. What do people expect? I just can't believe we threw away a 2 goal lead.

Tbf, Philips scored against Sunderland saw no badge kissing, I bet if Siberski had scored against us he'd not have celebrated, its a mutual respect. Guest Stephen927
I prefer Colo and Bassong in central defence, but I wouldn't have minded Faye staying and slotting into midfield to give us a physical presence there.

Phillips scored against Watford (his 1st ever club) yesterday and he kept the celebrations to a minimum, was literally a clenched fist and small smile, then went high fiving his team etc. Le Sib said that he wouldn't celebrate before the match last season vs Wigan at home anyway. Tbh though, there's no rule against it, and not every player is going to hold in their emotions (especially as it was to clinch a point in the 90th minute), and who know's what went on behind the scenes at his time up here...
