Thespence
Does Carroll do post match interviews ? Don't recall seeing him speak on tv. He has done the odd odd tv match interview but tends to save himself for police interviews.

David28
If he continues this progress at a similar or even slightly slower rate he will be a ridiculously good player. True. I still remember Carroll seing a few years back against West Ham alongside Owen with that strange haircut. I wouldn't have thought he'd be our main striker in 2 years time. That's how it can go. Guest BooBoo
It's sentimental but it's fantastic to see a Geordie lad playing number nine and terrorising defenders.
M4
There's a vid on youtube called 'England - the Next Generation' that has a nice little mix of his goals.
Cajun
As many of you probably know, I am a dirty Southerner but so many of my mates are overly excited by Carroll making the England squad. They genuinely talk about him like Rooney a few years ago
Wullie
We should offer Gianluigi Buffon a scouting job when he retires tbh, only bugger who saw it coming.

I know people say its only a number but for what it clearly means to him alone shows its not.

David28
We should offer Gianluigi Buffon a scouting job when he retires tbh, only bugger who saw it coming. Aye, good point. I didn't remember that. On 29 July 2007, Carroll scored his first senior goal in a 2-0 friendly win over Juventus, with a left foot shot. After the match, Carroll received praise from Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who tipped Carroll to have a big future (from wiki)
JH
We should offer Gianluigi Buffon a scouting job when he retires tbh, only bugger who saw it coming. “Carroll played like what we call in Italy a paintbrush striker, he was there to add the finishing touch. “He played well on his own and although Newcastle were aiming for his head with some of their passes, he showed he can play with his feet too because he laid the ball off excellently to the supporting midfielders. “He will be an asset because he can find the players around him in different ways and has already shown he has great awareness.”

Also ends with: Carroll is also playing himself into the plans of England manager Fabio Capell. I wouldn't even send an email at work without reading over it first, and in those circumstances it's only the daft cunt that sits across from me reading it or something.
