Dokko
Just think Ashley couldn't sell the club for £80m this time last year. Reminds me of when we bought Ferdinand for £6m, we could have bought QPR for £14m at the time.
Guest Geordiesned
Flog him may not get that kind of money again and his head may get a bit to large. Ashley will be working out the probability of whether we can cope without him and probably we will. Come on, we all know Ashley knows fuck all about football! All he'll be working out is whether to have a kebab or curry tonight!
Guest zeta87
Someone just knock Ashley out so that he'll wake up tomorrow or sth..
Yorkie
It's absolutely imperative we don't sell any of our starting eleven, especially Carroll. We're two or three upgrades away from having a genuine shout at European football. We're not a one-man team but Carroll is the main man.
The Bonk
What a load of sensationalized bullshit. The media in the UK are fucked.
Lenny
We don't need £50m -Carroll to become a top 6 team. We're on the cusp of it already imo. Absolutely imperative that we DO NOT SELL. Wow. We've just been promoted, people were calling our season over when Hughton left and/or BenArfa was injured. Oh fuck off. Dunno what he finds so funny, we're definitely 2 or 3 first teamers and a bit of squad depth away from being a European contender.

9
I know we will regret it if we don't accept 40 mil.... I would accept that and sign Cavani from Napoli for 10 mil.... i wont regret it, i get no share of the cash, i know from MA's track record the funds wouldnt spent on players so i see no loss at all. Dokko
Mackems will be sick we've got a player attracting bids of £40m...even more sick that we reject the offer. Torres to Chelsea should be the big news today but yet again its all about us. Crackers.

BottledDog
Got to say - Carlton Cole is a decent enough player. If I was offered Cole plus £25m for Carroll, Id take it. God almighty. Indeed.
Taylor Swift
The key to winning matches is to have control of the ball. The most obvious way for us to improve would be to get a new RM, CM and a striker who can make runs in the channel. It would be magnificent if we could achieve all of this and keep Carroll, but a bid of £40m is absolutely insane. If our scouting network can come up with a few more gems a la Tiote and Ben Arfa, we'd be a much better team after all the transfers. I still think selling now is a short-sighted decision. Teasy
Even if we received a bid of say £50m, and it all went for towards the summer's TRANSFER WARCHEST, i honestly don't think we'd better the team given the loss of Carroll. He could be absolutely sensational - i want to see him grow with us. Plus i don't have faith in Pardew to spend £50m wisely. If it was Hughton, i might think differently. Common man, with £50m we could buy 5 or 6 players that would all improve their respective positions in our team. Its a team game and one player doesn't make a team. Guest zeta87
@SkyBet: We've put the Andy Carroll market back out after Liverpool's second bid is rejected and offer 2/1 on him being a Newcastle player tomorrow. cunts lol

Guest BooBoo
Crazy crazy money to reject Gah, what good is money in the bank when our lot our holding the purse strings? Will Ashley likely re-invest the money on a better replacement? Could we realistically attract a better player? Of course not, that's why selling Carrol for any price would be a disaster.
