West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Recommended Posts

So Carroll agrees to make himself look the c*** because Ashley says so?  How is anyone this stupid?

Liverpool obviously offered him a far improved contract.

Ashley could easily have said that Carroll will have to submit a transfer request if he wants the move, as we arent going to match them. Simple

Why would you possibly think Mike fucking Ashley would have any reservations whatsoever in taking 35-40 million for a player? Wake up man.

So Liverpool official site confirm we have accepted their offer

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Case of us telling him he has to hand in a transfer request to take pressure off club for selling him?

Oh fucking hell not you too

Speculation of Spurs coming in at a late stage and offering Crouch as a makeweight

We're not going to match Liverpools ridiculous bid.

Yes.... please f*** off.

Don't take your frustrations (and obvious mental issues) out on me please.

I should apologize on behalf of some of our fans, you're right, some of them have gone absolutely mental!  :idiot2:

Can't f***ing believe this.

Those blaming Ashley can f*** off now. We've done everything we could to keep him and he's stabbed us in the back. f*** off.

We've accepted a bid, man. Of course it's partially Ashley's fault.

Accepted the bid after he submitted the transfer request.

The way the situation has been presented leads me to believe that we had every intention of selling him if the right bid came in.

Aye, funny how you never ever heard of bids going in for the likes of Carragher, Scholes, Giggs - players that were genuinely "not for sale". It flowed round the media because we let it. Both clubs have to agree to a bid being made public, otherwise it's tapping up.

Fucking hell, people on here are thick as mince. This is Mike Ashley. It's been on the cards since Pardew was appointed, in fact this is exactly WHY he was appointed.

The club have accepted a bid and that tells Andy Carroll "you are not as important to us as this money". Same reason Les Ferdinand didn't turn round when Shearer's knee buckled even though he wanted to stay 100%.

Where does a transfer request fit into your story?

If the rumour about the Crouch inquiry is true, this is another reason I don't want this to go through at almost any price (40 million is hard to turn down). Crouch is the type of signing we would make to bridge the gap, he's nowhere close to being able to do that and as usual Spuds will screw the team trying to buy their players, we'll end up paying about 10 million for him no doubt. I would much prefer us looking towards someone like Romelu Lukaku at Anderlecht. But we won't so that, don't think pardew will go far from the big names at home.
