Guest The German
Toon Wait On Beye Injury www.nufc.co.uk By Craig Hope NEWCASTLE United will have to wait to discover the extent of the leg injury which saw Habib Beye stretchered off during the 2-1 defeat at Wigan. The Senegal star was left writhing in agony after a reckless Lee Cattermole challenge midway through the first-half for which the Latics midfielder was booked. And, while Joe Kinnear confirmed that Beye will definitely miss Sunday's game against Liverpool, the Magpie boss said they were awaiting further news as to the seriousness of the injury. "I think it's fair to say it was reckless challenge," said Kinnear. "Habib has gone to hospital but it's a case of wait and see, although he'll definitely miss the Liverpool game." Meanwhile, Jose Enrique is also out of the Reds clash after injuring his hamstring during the warm up forcing Kinnear to shuffle his pack and bring in Mark Viduka. However, United's injury problems were worsened further when the Aussie striker limped off with a groin problem late in the game and he too will be absent in two days time. Guest Heneage
Little twat, he needs a slap. That's two players now he's crocked, one for upwards of 4 months.
Thespence
Cattermole will be loving this as his team has beat the us twice & he has wiped out two of our players.

Where's the punishment, we had Craig Fagend crying about the game he's missed, what about the likes of Beye who's near the end of his career, and Joey Barton who's slap bang in the middle of his. Speaking of Joey- I think he would've made a big difference today for us. Maybe instead of Nicky Butt who needs to have a rest every couple of games. Guest Heneage
He was speaking off the top of his head. Either way we have a stupid amount of players missing. 3 of our defenders is a joke. Now we start with Geremi, Taylor, Colo, N'Zogbia.
Pilko
We went from: Wigan game missing list: Smith, Gonzalez, Shola, Martins, Barton Liverpool missing list: Smith, Gonzalez, Shola, Martins, Barton, Viduka, Beye, Enrique, Bassong and possibly Owen! They're a bunch of dirty cunts. Having Heskey, Michael Brown and Cattermole in your team kind of speaks for itself.
Big Geordie
Owen being taken off was probably a tactical move, IMO. I reckon (and hope) he'll be OK for Sunday. Not that I think he'll offer much, if I'm honest.

Ashley17
Where's all this Owen injury come from? I assumed he was taken off becuase we were 2-0 down and down to 10 and needed to put a defender on. With the game being up, JFK chose to protect Owen for the Liverpool game. Are we just speculating or are there rumblings?

Begbie
NUFC star Habib Beye facing lengthy spell on sidelines Dec 27 2008 By Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle NEWCASTLE United ace Habib Beye has been ruled out for up to six weeks after clashing with Lee Cattermole in the 2-1 defeat at Wigan. Beye was rushed into a Wigan hospital after the strong challenge from Cattermole at the JJB Stadium after taking a painful whack on his right leg. The Senegal international has also had achilles trouble this season and missed large chunks of the campaign after going down with the injury in the summer. The news that Beye will miss most of January is another blow for Joe Kinnear who also has defensive problems for the Liverpool game with Jose Enrique (calf) and Sebastien Bassong out (banned) after a nightmare visit to Wigan yesterday. However, the Beye injury is a bitter pill to swallow for Kinnear who also lost Joey Barton earlier this season due to another tackle from Cattermole at St James's Park. Guest toonlass
According to the BBC website in the team line ups for tomorrow its a suspected fracture.
Kanj
when a man's leg is broken, fractured etc with a tackle, the f'ng review panel needs to suspend the man who made the challenge, obviously a clean tackle wouldnt involve a fractured bone.... but we all know if any of our lot made the tackle, it would be all over the papers and they'd get a ban somehow.
