taxfree
Abeid makes it 2-0. Love that it's Abeid and Vuckic showing off. 71mins - NEWCASTLE GOAL (0-2): Mehdi Abeid's first two goals for Newcastle - both in last month's friendly at York - were spectacular and his third is another right out of the top drawer. It's his first competitive goal for the club and it's one worth seeing again on nufcTV. The ball fell to him on the edge of the area and he thumped it home off the underside of the bar to double Newcastle's advantage.
Lush Vlad
Sounds like a beast of a goal as well, 20 yards, bar and in. Likes a long distance shot does Abeid

Newcastle Fan
Was that our Callum Morris on their bench? anyway glad to see Mehdi and Vuckic both score, both hot prospects that i'm hoping will manage to make the step-up.

Tiresias
Want Vucknic and Abeid to get their first team chances, and Guthrie now looks earned a shot too...starting to think we should copy barcalona and just field all our midfielders at once and see what happens
Richo
Pardew has said he sees Abeid playing a roll when Cheick is away with the African cup of nations. It will be interesting how he does in the first team, he looks really promising. http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/10/23/abeid-could-get-nod-when-tiote-s-away-for-cup-79310-29642108/

Wouldn't mind seeing Abeid though.

Guthrie lookes excellent yesterday, and are used to PL, so i guess he takes the spot, but who knows.

Skirge
Dave Watson Is New Under-18s Coach By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter Former England international defender Dave Watson has been appointed as the club's new Under-18s Coach. Previously Youth Team Coach at Wigan, where he also assisted Graham Barrow in managing the Latics' Reserve team, Watson starts his new role on Monday morning. He joined Wigan in April 2008, and has managerial experience with Everton - the side he made more than 400 league appearances for between 1986 and 2001 - and Tranmere Rovers. The 49-year-old started his playing career with Liverpool but moved to Norwich without making a first-team appearance. With the Canaries he won the Milk Cup in 1985, beating Sunderland in the final, and also lifted the Division Two title. He also won the first of 12 England caps before moving to Everton, where he won the Division One trophy in 1987 and the FA Cup in 1995. Watson played alongside Newcastle's Football Development Manager, Peter Beardsley, and worked under Reserve Team Manager Willie Donachie at Goodison Park. He replaces Frankie Bunn, who became assistant manager at Rochdale in the summer, and will work alongside Academy Manager Joe Joyce in coaching the club's table-topping under-18s side. Joyce said: "Dave will be a great asset. He brings with him a wealth experience as a player and as a coach and we're delighted to have him with us." Watson will give his first interview as the club's Under-18s Coach exclusively to nufc.co.uk on Monday. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20111107/dave-watson-is-new-under-18s-coach_2281670_2506330
