Having Harper, Ameobi, Ramage and Clark does stink of end of the Shepherd era mind.

Newcastle United have added Theo Benjamin to their youth ranks following an impressive trial period, with Charlton talent Lesecond Yeutembip also sealing a move to the North East.

Theo is the son of former Leicester, Brighton and Crystal Palace forward Trevor Benjamin and has signed a two-year deal on Tyneside, becoming the latest addition to our U15s alongside Yeutembip; who previously captained youth side Barking & Dagenham.

Yeutembip is a 14-year-old centre-back who comes from Charlton’s highly-regarded Academy. The rangy defender has traveled with the U15s to Japan this week and featured in a defeat to a J-League youth side in Tokyo today.

Barely played for Galway United first team but has looked to have quality when he has featured, skillful dribbler and can beat a man, still looks quite lightweight. Been a bit of talk about him going to a club in England once he turned 18 for a while.

Aye, easiest way to navigate PSR is to sell them.

Need to develop them first.

Are we showing any signs of that ?

No just in general.  I wonder if we are seen in the game as a good place to develop.

It's a good question, but we've got to be saying something decent to be attracting all these kids - they certainly weren't signing for us a couple of years ago.

I assume we are now paying them higher wages to make the choice easier and selling them on the long term project if they make it. Plus we are now activity trying to sign them. 😂
