You could argue that things didn't go well for Rozehnal, Boumsong, Luque, Martins or Emre after they joined us. For example. Still think it has more to do with the players' abilities than the club. His back four often consisted of Hughes-O'Brien-Dabizas-Bernard. During 01/02, he was able to bring in Griffin and/or Caldwell at the very best. Tooj Posted September 5, 2012 Share Posted September 5, 2012 I thought he was on ~50k a week and that Colo was on ~70-80k which is why everyone were panicking right before he signed a new contract due to the clubs wage structure. That's what I thought Colo was on, I doubt Xisco will be on £50k a week though? I cannot see why we'd agree to that as he was nothing more than a promosing young striker when we signed him, Coloccini was rated as one of the best defenders in Spain. He's on 45k a week. Nice chap, seems to have his head screwed on and the right attitude. Whether he make it or not is another matter, but there were definitely worse players there.
