We were like a tired old dog trying to play with a young puppy.

Toothless and stiff.

Fuck off Mike AShley.

Our last roll of the dice was Shola   :dowie:

Good to see the fans still chanting. f*** Ashley, this is OUR club.

*Cringe*

Explain? Why the f*** should they give up? We'll still be here when that fat f*** sells up.

Sorry but this whole "ITs our club" You want to blame Ashley, then blame the stupid c***s that protested and scared off any potential manager we had after the hull defeat. Perfect fans we ain't.

Get f***ed.

If you think they are in no way to blame then am I to assume you were stood outside the entrance chanting?

As I've said Ashley is to blame for the manager, but so is Keegan as well as the 11 players that have walked out onto the pitch the last 38 weeks.

Ashley is a grade A spineless cunt and clueless about football to boot and the events since keegan left have only demonstrated that. the protests were pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Doesn't matter if he tries he's fucking shit. I knew we'd given up when I saw him coming on. That ridiculous shot near the end had me tearing my hair out.

The thing is, he creates problems for the defenders. Martin does, to an extent. Viduka, too. Owen? Only when he scores. And he rarely does.

Lovenkrands-0- was he even playing

We didn't look in it as soon as the half time whistle went. The players had given up. The Villa goal was "season summing-uppingly" unlucky, but we should have got closer to pegging them back than we did.

It's not the fact we've went down that's going to knack me, but the fucking huge wait over the summer for change to happen.

Shearer just said everyone's not been good enough, named Keegan, Ashley, himself, Kinnear, Hughton but mainly the players.

Needs a root and branch sorting out of the club, top to bottom.

Shearer's on Sky now.

Saying anything of interest?

Knows it was a w*** performance, and that players have to go and come in.

sound like he's staying then?

Aren't the strikers being rated a tad harshly? They had nothing but blind punts pointed at them all game long, and Viduka did well to make a fist out of any of them.

In the end, it was our central midfield that sent us down.

This day was hyped up so much by Sky, the BBC, etc, but in the end there was absolutley zero drama on this day.  No last minute goals, no real drama, just 4 shite teams slipping away like they have all season.

Maybe Viduka but Martins wasted a great chance and was hopeless when he had the ball.

He does look f***ing upset like. Says he's not close to tears but you can tell he's torn up inside.

For the bloke to say he looked close to tears shows he doesn't know him Shearer isn't the crying type.

I get the impression from his interview that him staying on rests on the assurances he may/may not get from Ashley.

The only way I'd be even remotely optimistic of us coming back is if Shearer stayed on. If we're playing Championship football with Kinnear in charge we are fucked, and we won't be back for a long time.

he did look close to tears imo, pretty red in the face (maybe he's just be tearing the shit out of the players)
