He won't come out and speak, simply because he doesn't have too. To all intents and purposes, he's given up his responsibility and the club has already banked the cash from the 25000 who have renewed their s/t's. When we went down I was optimistic that we could get that cockney c*** out and rebuild from the ground up, but 3-4 days before the first fixture of the new season and we're in worse shape than ever! Administration would probably be better for us then Ashley staying, but I don't see that ever happening since its bad for Ashley. I'm also unsure what he'd do if fans stopped putting money in to force him out. He'd probably then face even lesser offers for the club due to a worse financial situation, would his stuborness allow him to accept on of them?
