aussiemag
Im not anti-England, i used to support England up until about the 2010 world cup. Followed them from Euro 96 til 2010. But I feel nothing for them anymore. The players are despicable individuals, when you combine that with a negative style of play. I find it hard to understand you all supporting this brand of football. England should be a world-beater like Spain. Exciting the nation with technical, attacking, passing football. aussiemag
a friendly win over an England side containing Franny Jeffers and James Beattie. Rather misleading, especially since Jeffers scored. England: James (Robinson 45), Neville (Mills 45), Ferdinand (Brown 45), Campbell (King 45), Ashley Cole (Konchesky 45), Beckham (Hargreaves 45), Lampard (Murphy 45), Scholes (Jenas 45), Dyer (Vassell 45), Beattie (Jeffers 45), Owen (Rooney 45). http://i.imgur.com/tCp90.gif Those half-time substitutions perfectly support Sewelly's point, to be honest. Well done. Not at all. 2-0 up at half time. Sven bottled it and wanted to make it look as if he didnt care too much about the result. To save his bacon. Aye, bringing Konchesky, Jeffers and Mills on saved his bacon. It did. " s***... we lost 3-1 to Australia ... ohhh its ok Mills, Jeffers and Konchesky played" Or it was a friendly where the result didn't actually mean anything hence 11 changes at half time? In that case our 2-0 lost to Denmark yesterday, meant nothing. Yet Sewelly was still trying to give me stick for it,

Ronaldo
Spain has a culture and a climate that generally promotes the cultivation of serious athletes more effectively than the UK. I'm past caring about it.

Why is Rio different?" 6:55 PM - 3 Jun 12 It's farcical like, especially how thin we are at the back. Rio should have been called up, tough to bring him in after everything, but not doing so, and calling up some rookie shows his initial cull was nothing 'to do with football' as made out by Woy and the FA. Mole_Toonfan
While its completely unecessary and ill-timed he's got a point.... theres no footballing reason for those players to go and Ferdinand not to.... Anyway its clearly to do with Terry and Rio getting along and he chose Terry.

Why is Rio different?" 6:55 PM - 3 Jun 12 Such idiocy. It is not a maths equation. All four players are more effective and consistent in their position than Ferdinand is in his own. Rio's career at the top level is rapidly ending and he should plan accordingly. England's best centreback now and into the future is Cahill, imo. Guest gggg
I find it hard to understand you all supporting this brand of football. England should be a world-beater like Spain. Exciting the nation with technical, attacking, passing football. We're doing it precisely because we can't do that, not the other way round. If you've got skilful technical players coming out of your ears - play passing football If you've got a team of technical poor grafters - trying to play attacking possession football is a bloody stupid

Well it is a maths equation because Woy questioned Rio's capacity to play 3 games in a week and i dont agree Gerrard and Terry are more consistent and effective. Also if Cahill is our best CB we have serious problems i rate Lescott among others a lot higher.
