NG32
Mid to pushing for 7th, depending on which manager we had in charge.
Tooj
Full-back area weak like. Actually we'd be very poor attacking on the right in that formation.
Elliottman
Sir Bob in charge, it would have done very well.
Tooj
Dyer, Bellamy and Saha in the same team too. I wonder how many games you would get out of all of those.
NG32
We had Hughes, O'brian and Bramble in the team that got us to the Champions league, under Sir Bod of course.
Ocho
Dyer, Bellamy and Saha in the same team too. I wonder how many games you would get out of all of those. Add woody to that list too.
Dave
Full-back area weak like. Actually we'd be very poor attacking on the right in that formation. I couldn't bring myself to put Carr in. Could play Dyer on the right with Bowyer (hmm, bad idea?) or Jenas () in the centre?
Tooj
Actually Dave put Hughes in there as a left-back instead of Zico. I know he doesn't like playing there but fuck the mercenary cunt.
Raconteur
Hmmm - it assumes the fitness of some crocks. For instance Woodgate, Dyer and Saha are always in the physio room. EDIT: As those with faster fingers than me suggested Interesting hypothetical, but that's all it is, a hypothetical. On paper the squad we had last year should have kept us up, but football isn't played on paper...
Oakie Doke
it's not much better than the side we had last season, if at all. If Allardyce was the manager they would have scraped 16th.

Boey_Jarton
Its not a bad team with the exception of the full backs. It looks like a solid midtable team and the midfield is a significant improvement on what we had last year.
Mistle17
It doesn't posses a strong, natural leader like Shearer (Andy Griffin being the closest) in it but with a good manager it would do pretty well I would imagine.
Ronaldo
Jenas should be there instead of Milner, and Bramble should easily be somewhere in that defence on current the team would pushing the top 6 imo

Mistle17
Jenas should be there instead of Milner, and Bramble should easily be somewhere in that defence on current the team would pushing the top 6 imo Bramble instead of which Faye? Abdoulaye I take it? I would disagree. Faye and Woodgate would be a very solid pairing, imo. Yes, pairing Bramble with Woody would make a huge improvement to his game but Faye is a strong, no nonsense CH as opposed to Woodgate's calmer almost more 'continental' style of defending. Distan-Woodgate, anyone?
Carlito
The amount of injuries we'd have with that strike force is too scary to even think about. I think we'd have probably stayed up though

Ishmael
Would have been fine until Owen, Dyer, Woodgate, Saha and Jenas suffer inevitable injuries and then it'd be in trouble.

Mowen
KK's not in the Premiership you windowlicker. Would have to be Fat Sam at the helm presumably.
toontownman
Feck me thats a scary looking side. Griffin and hughes would have been ripped apart, we would have had to pray Parker was fit, because Dyer wouldnt have played all season. Milner and N'Zogbia would have been frustrating and missing with equal measure. You know Bellamy and Owen would both be crocked at the same time, Saha not far behind. Woodgate and Given would have been off in January blaming the clubs ambition and weak squad. Luckily the Centre of defence might actually have been our strongest part. Jenas would start the most games. Bowyer would have been more useless than Nolan. SAF would have struggled to keep that team up IMO. Team would probably would have to had looked more like this regularly. Given Bramble Woodgate Distin Faye Milner Jenas Parker N'Zogbia Which ever crocked striker was fit
Guest Mantis
In a season where they had 3 managers, a club in turmoil and backed up by championship level transfers in in January, they would go down.
LiquidAK
Tbf we're all saying "assuming they're fit", but if our squad this season was fit all year then I think we would have stayed up. We only needed 1 point, a fully fit Viduka in every game would have got that imo.
