The other games today - 2009/10

Inter did commit less fouls though, so you can't say they were the ones ruining the game

Because the ref gave them everything.

Because the Inter players were going down faster than something incredibly fast (insert some joke about Jordan shagging men)

Referee also gave Barca a ten man advantage for 70 minutes. Shut yourself and stop complaining.

If he hadn't raised his hands, he'd have still been on the pitch. It's his own fucking fault for being stupid enough to push the player away with his hand.

Even though he was way stricter with the cards towards Inter? And the stupid sending off after only 20mins?

Barca's goal was arguably offside as well which cancels out the wrongly disallowed 2nd one.

I'm lost for words..

Is the brackets figures successful passes? If so that's only completed 28 passes in 96mins+ of football. That's ridiculous.

And if Barca players hadn't come into contact with Inter players they would not have opportunity to dive. Do not let minor infractions from players excuse vast incompetence for highly paid and qualified referees.

Pep got it wrong.

What was with the short corners? Very silly.

You have five seconds left and you need a goal.... so why not pull the 'keeper? It absolutely astounds me that more managers don't do this... Barca already had a player up - get the 'keeper in there during the corner and there would have been an even more noticable advantage.

The interesting stat there is distance covered, tbh.

?

Purely as it shows that unlike many defensive teams they didn't chase the ball at all. Barca might've passed a few teams to death but Inter set themselves up absolutely rock solid and with discipline that ensured Barca had no space to create.

Nah, the 67 are the 42% that were completed ;)

You'd think the word completed next to it would kind of give away the answer. 67 passes completed/successful.

The ref had no other option man. He raised his hands above the neck - EVERYONE knows that's a sending off - he shouldn't have fucking done it. You can shield the ball without putting the palm of your hand on someone's face.

Oh and another great stat :

Victor Valdes distance covered : 6751 M

Ibrahimovic : 6451 M

Was the same in the first leg.

How the hell did this happen? Was Valdes running around in Circles when Barca had the ball?

He plays as a sweeper of sorts when we have the ball.

Keepers run more than people might think, too, pull some other games statistics if you can.

Having one less man to do the running might also explain that.

There would be numerous reds in every game if we always applied the rules that way.

It was just barely above the neck and Motta didn't even look at him while he was doing it, how's he know he was going to touch his face? He's just trying to hold the opponent off. If Busquets hadn't thrown himself on the floor then he wouldn't have even got a yellow.

It's only a sending off with intent, He didn't even look ffs.

You think Inter would've played differently if they'd had all 11 on the pitch?

Clearly not.

Thuggery isn't physicality. Na wa, man. I don't know how someone can be so pedantic and condescending while also being completely wrong. It's quite impressive.

 Pardon?
