So...

Selling Andy Carroll annoyed Nolan, which annoyed Barton, which annoyed Ranger. Feeling left out Enrique decided to be annoyed too. Now Inman is getting in on the act. wow.

People having a go at Barton and Enrique for coming out on twitter.

The bigger picture is the reason WHY they have to come out.

Every club in the country has players on twitter, we're the only one who's players speak out against the board, there is good fucken reason for that.

Barton, Nolan, Carroll and Enrique gone, that is a significant part of how we stayed in this league.

The players and their agents definitely play up the whole "Ashley is a terrible owner" thing everytime they want a new contract, or want to move on. Make no mistake about it.

They're all a bunch of snakes. Looking out for their best interests.

Ashley has clearly had enough of him slagging him off while paying him £50k + per week.

Many people would be the same. I still think a punishment/fine/time in the reserves would have been better.

With one year left they just decided to ditch him. Rather than pay him all that money for a one year holiday.

Joey is as volatile as the come though. In a couple of weeks he could be happy again.

And a couple of weeks after that? Mental again.

Why bother?

Fair enough, it's just a question of whether his ability is worth his mental personality. It's starting to look like it isn't.

Think he had to go, unfortunately.

The negativity couldn't go on into the season.

Guess there was always going to be a huge fallout once the Nolan/Barton axis was broken.

Aye, now everybody is made up one of our best players has been fucked off, im sure there are thousands of people doing cartwheels down Barrack Road as I type this.

And that has to with Barton how? He was RELEASED, no transfer request, no sale, they let him go.

Are we the only club with players unhappy with decisions behind the scenes? I doubt it, we just happen to have a guy who is famously unhinged.

Using the rift between the fans and the owner to try and get a new deal. It's too convenient for them. Too easy.

It has been retarded shipping out major contributors to last season's campaign (not been a huge amount, though...yet).

But these dummy spitting players can f*** right off. They're every bit as bad as the c***s at the top. Yeh, they are.

Since when does the 'club' deserve to be embarrassed by self-centered, egotistical prats.

Paid fortunes and act like they're the hardest done by mother fuckers on the planet. It's shameful.

Maybe the club should have tweeted s*** about Barton when he was locked up!

Boo hoo...Nolan didn't get what he wanted, boo hoo...Barton is a tortured soul.

This is Newcastle United. Not Barton United, Ashley United, Jose United, Accountants United etc etc. There's a lack of class throughout this club at the moment.

I agree with your sentiments to a point, but I think that behaving professionally is a reciprocal business; I don't think anyone in the right mind could say the current hierarchy have done everything in their power to be open, transparent and trustworthy

You can justify this decision based on his outbursts and wages if you want, but crucially, I can't see anyone coming in to replace Barton.

What actually goes on on the pitch seems incidental to some people.  Don't lose sight of important things like money sitting in a bank account or players doing stuff on twitter by getting all wound up about who we're actually going to play in 12 days.

Don't assume this will be the only outgoing either.

With all due respect, what the hell are you talking about? This decision has nothing to do with money sitting in a bank account at all.

At least find the right thread of ill-informed generalising.

I'm speaking in a wider sense about some people's reaction when Ashley does something which has an absolutely undeniable negative effect on our ability to perform as a football club.  That selling Carroll was the right decision from a financial perspective, that releasing Barton is the right decision from a PR perspective because he doesn't toe the party line on twitter.  If you have to stop looking at things from a football perspective to try and convince yourself they're OK you need to press your reset button and go back to thinking like a football fan.

Julio Arca's looking for a club?

'arca swings it in, and kuqi nearly gets his head on it. As it is though, it goes out for a goal kick, and, as the teams head for their half time dressing rooms, it remains Newcastle 0, arsenal 6'
