Pre-season specialist Haris Vučkić joins FC Twente

He'd be very handy to have around the matchday squad given our lack of options, I'd rather have him coming on than Sammy.

Totally different players though aren't they?

Both left footed marra

Where was he yesterday? Exactly the type of game that would have suited his elegant passing and control in the last 20 minutes. Should have been on the pitch at the same time as Cisse and Gouffran, playing just behind them.

But no. Let's have a promising young player like him and keep him on the bench for the tried and tested experience of Shola Ameobi.

tbf to Haris, we weren't/ aren't playing the type of football that would utilise a second striker at the moment. Goofy didn't do any better there and it did take a while for HBA to get a touch in that role.

Another whose career has probably suffered from being at this club and under idiots like Pardew.  I never thought for a minute he would turn out to be a world beater but he had looked in the past to have had some of the attributes to become a better player.  You just need to look at Cabaye, Mbiwa, Debuchy, Sissoko, Cisse etc and how they all look worse players than they did when they joined to know that none of the young players coming through will ever advance as players in the current set up.

Pretty much sums it up. He's definitely not going to shine on a small pitch in a clogging match which this was in the first half.

He's a big lad that should have been far more commanding when on the ball. He didn't take his chance, we all know he's a better player than what he showed tonight.
