Should have been on the pitch at the same time as Cisse and Gouffran, playing just behind them. But no. I never thought for a minute he would turn out to be a world beater but he had looked in the past to have had some of the attributes to become a better player. You just need to look at Cabaye, Mbiwa, Debuchy, Sissoko, Cisse etc and how they all look worse players than they did when they joined to know that none of the young players coming through will ever advance as players in the current set up. He's a big lad that should have been far more commanding when on the ball. He didn't take his chance, we all know he's a better player than what he showed tonight.
