In all honestly though, does anyone really care or rate scottish football? And thats not an english bias, but its crap, same two win the league cups etc and they do nowt or at least have done nowt in europe for years. Surely they must be bored beyond the wall?

I think it would be a good idea to have Celtic and Rangers in the EPL, just mainly to shut them up, and so everyone can laugh when they are relegated, like they did when we were. Anyway, I think Newcastle will draw a short draw if the leagues are divided by North and South, as it means we will have, Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Everton, and possibly Aston Villa all above us and untoucable for a couple of years atleast.

Basically I see it as a way of the Bolton chairman making sure his team are in the EPL forever, as it will only have 1, yes 1 relegation place.

I can honestly see it happening within 5 years, clubs will get stronger and the powers that be will have no input what so ever! Unless they let ashley plan it!

my thoughts, 2 epl divisions, one north (man ure etc) and one south with the winners playing each other in a shagtastic end of season winners spin off!

Yeah but that would make things easier and cheaper for the fans. So we know that's not going to happen.

Sounds to MLS style to me, works fine for those countries that have 1 million cities with atleast one team each (or will have in a few years), but for England, the system has worked well for years, so no need for a North vs South at a pro level. It's ok in the non league, due to travel budgets, and players having jobs to go to, but at a high level their is no need for it.

Again though, it would be interesting to see Rangers and Celtic in the EPL, even if they do get relegated.

the logistics of ioc, fifa, uefa and cas would make this impossible unless clubs are willing to lose their status in world football. It would also render players that play in this league unavailable for their countries.

non starter

A conference system would be a joke. You can't really claim to be the champion of England if you are Chelsea and never get to play Liverpool or Manchester United.

Also it would be way harder to play in the northern division than the southern one.

Yeah it would be ridiculous.

The northern league would have Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, City, Rangers & Celtic. Plus other clubs with potential to challenge in the future like yourselves, Sheff Wed, Leeds...

The southern league would have Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs. The only one with any potential to do something besides those three is West Ham.

(no idea where to put Villa btw, probably lumped in the southern league to try and even it up)

A load of commercialised romanticised horseshit. There would not be 2 Premier Leagues. There would be 1, and 1 only. Teams would be gutted to be relegated into EPL2, as it would just be the Championship and after a while it would lose stature. Especially if non English teams are dominant forces in it.

Also Celtic and Rangers would surely start at the bottom of English football and spend years working their way up? Why would they just appear in any EPL league? If they did go to the bottom it would absolutely cripple both teams financially.

I hate shit like this, you just know it will happen too.
