david gold blasts mclaren for setting back the cause of english managers for the england job

yet for someone so insistent that an english manager be manager of england he doesn't employ an english manager himself.......

Fucking hell. Gold is one of the worst rent-a-quotes going in football. How does he not come under much more scrutiny? Such an annoying prick.

Him and Sullivan have never shut up since they bought West Ham.  I'm absolutely fed up with reading about them.

I was fooling myself thinking SSN would have something anywhere near insightful on the plight of the modern manage during their piece on the number of unemployed managers. Its Phil Brown bigging himself up.

Someone tell me whether Seamus Coleman is expected to get games for Everton over coming weeks/months?

He is better than Hibbert, obviously, but Moyes seems somewhat reluctant to give him the starting position outright. He still will probably get some starts and often comes on as an attacking substitute (which is good because Everton will be behind a lot).

Rooney denies ankle injury claim

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has contradicted club manager Sir Alex Ferguson by claiming he has not had an ankle injury this season.

Ferguson took Rooney off during last month's 2-2 draw at Bolton and left him out of games at Valencia and Sunderland citing an injury to the 24-year-old.

However, Rooney played in England's 0-0 draw against Montenegro on Tuesday.

"No, I've had no ankle problem all season," said Rooney when asked about his problems on the fitness front.

He was then asked as to why Ferguson had said he had an injury, Rooney replied: "I don't know."

Uh-oh. :iamatwat:

Didn't he have an ice-pack on his ankle when he got took off earlier this season?

Rooney was replaced by Federico Macheda in the 61st minute, although the former Everton striker had an ice pack applied to his ankle soon after his substitution.
