Mr. Snrub
Still convinced if deployed correctly, Hugo would have been a very good playmaker for us. His range of passing was excellent.

His pass to Bernard in the Chelsea game all those years ago was exquisite.

Pilko
9 goals in 4 pre-season matches for Hamburg's Son Heung-Min. Looking sharp Eh. How have they played 4 pre-season games already? The teams Hamburg've played arrived at their stadiums to find beach towels draped all over the away dugout, they had to play them in a friendly before they'd shift. Gash
On the tour of Asia at a fan meet and greet Arsenal put Vela, Traore and Denilson on the same table. It was about as popular as a children's party thrown by Gary Glitter by the sounds of it.

oldtype
South Korean domestic football is officially going to hell due to a massive, massive, absolutely f***ing ridiculous match-fixing scandal. Initial investigation revealed 10 current and former players who were engaged in match fixing, all of whom were banned for life from Korean professional football. Then the second investigation came up with an additional 45 players. One team in particular has lost 9 active players to match-fixing bans, including 3 of their 4 goalkeepers. After their only remaining goalkeeper was sent off last week, they had to play 90 minutes this week with a defender in goal. Now just today it's been revealed that the manager of that same team has been receiving payments by persistently blackmailing the parents of players whom he knew were match-fixing. Absolutely f***ing ridiculous.
ponsaelius
Bought a season ticket at Hartlepool today. £50, ludicrous bargain. I normally go to about 3-4 games a season anyway so it's value for money regardless.

Thought it was £100 if they reach 4000 sales, which it appears they are well on the way to achieving. http://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10326~2390605,00.html
SEMTEX
I am going to use my psychic magic super powers to predict that he is Under 19. Given that the offer is £50 for under 19s.
oscar
Ah so it is, didn't see that bit. Cracking offer mind, less than £4.50 a game for adults should they reach the target. Considering it myself despite the fact i could only make it to about half the games due to work.
ponsaelius
Yeah I'm 18. Didn't realise it was £50 for Under 19s until today. They sold 277 today, seems it's picking up at the finish line and they should beat it comfortably. The chances are they could even sell more after that target once everybody knows the price is guarenteed.
oscar
That was my thinking, didn't want to get one and have to pay between £150 and £250, offer is only valid until this Friday then tickets go back to last seasons prices
ponsaelius
Ahh, right. Maybe the last few days will see a flurry because of that then.

Ameritoon
Rumors going around for the past week and a half or so that Marcelo Bielsa was approached with some kind of role with USSF and the national team. Obviously he's not going to, but I hope we really did make an attempt, shows those guys might actually know what they're doing.

Market forces, football isn't that popular here so obviously your average reservist isn't going to be making a lot of money. For what its worth one of the solutions they're introducing is to double the minimum wage. It isn't just the piss-poor players though. There are internationals involved who commanded salaries roughly commensurate to that of lower-end Premier League players who've had leading roles in the whole affair. It's a complete embarrassment. Mr Logic
How does the cost of living in Korea compare to England? There are internationals involved who commanded salaries roughly commensurate to that of lower-end Premier League players ... And how much money is involved in top-end Korean football, they're surely on as much as the game can afford?
