Summary of the Ticketing Round Table discussion hosted by the Trust. Good to see the majority of points raised were more or less the same as have been widely discussed on here. Obviously doesn’t necessarily get us any closer to solutions, but at least we know the Trust have the ear of the club to some degree, so at least they’re being made aware of what people believe to be issues.

Absolutely no mention that people hate the ballot and want it binned off. Great stuff.

People on twitter kicking off over that photo of Charlotte from NUST sat with Staveley and Caulkin on a train from Bournemouth last night.

Apparently she openly admitted that she didn't even have a season ticket 2 years ago so people doing the maths have worked out it would be impossible to have amassed to required loyalty points for that particular fixture.

Lets not forget this ballot has made atmosohere worse home and away, the away ticketing system checks have seen people not turn up. Away ticket ballots for fans who never wanted to travel before.

Has anyone seen that video in regards to Arsenal ballot/atmosphere. There new system this year similar to ours, fans complaining this year atmosphere alot worse at the emirates.

Just get back to how it was and why ya there stick a standing end in the Leazes

The away ballot is 1% of the allocation, this has no impact on the away atmosphere.

She was on a podcast (True Faith) in October talking about how frustrating it was for her last season to be sat in a randomised queue for home tickets

Look, people will always try their best by hook or by crook to get tickets and fair play to anyone who does. But the Trust (including her pal Mr Hurst) done their utmost to stop shit like this happening.

Surprised there’s nothing in that report about how awful allocated seating is

And no discussion about whether any other clubs refuse to let their fans decide whereabouts in the ground they’d prefer to sit

Got to be one of the worst aspects of our awful ticketing system

I said one of the factors... away ballot, I.D checks, corporate tickets.

Can’t really lump it In with your other points though can you. It is insignificant  compared to the other two factors

Probably been mentioned but surely there should be a loyalty membership scheme. When we wsre taken over some people purchased a ticket to every home game. Since then a load of glory seakers came in from last season with as good as chance, surely thats wrong?

So are we now saying the best way to get tickets under this regime is to be an absolutely vacuous mouthpiece-twittercunt-YouTube vlogger?

The club don’t want fans who spend most of their time in the boozer pre-game before heading to the ground.  They’re worthless to them.

They’d far rather have the ground full of tourists who might spend £5 on a pencil case and wave half and half scarves.

I think the issue with doing that based on the data that was held prior to this season was that ST holders had been able to purchase extra tickets, and not assign them to anybody else.

So you probably had a lot of people who didn’t have memberships but a friend or family member who was a ST holder was getting them a ticket for every game, but with no record of it actually being for them.

Now that every ticket is assigned to an individual it makes the data a lot more accurate, however you now have the problem that getting a ticket as a member is a much down to luck, rather than ‘loyalty’, so not sure how they go about addressing that in terms of member loyalty schemes moving forward?

I do agree it would be good if they could come up with something though, just don’t know what that something would be?

I have posted about this numerous times.

Very easy to do, and other clubs already do it.

So how do you identify those people who were going regularly without the ticket being recorded against them?

As I said at the start of this season. Despite it affecting me, who would have 19 PL points from last season.

Fresh start, fresh slate. And people start building them up from 2023 onwards. But there’s no will from the club to do this. They won’t change shit next season imo. Easy money from memberships ?

They should investigate then and publish the findings it would help build / restore confidence in the Trust. As I have heard similar to what @Wallsendmags said. Similar conversations cropped up in Milan about how she'd got tickets - it is possible it's due to True Faith or Journalist connections rather than from the club directly- but it doesn't sit right (if true) when ticketing remains such an issue among the fanbase atm.
