Guthrie's done nothing too bad tbh, but he's anonymous on the right. The problem is that he's not going to get in the midfield ahead of Smith and Nolan, which is where he's much more effective. I'll judge him when he plays there, because when he has he's looked decent.

we've been in dangerous positions but our final balls been shocking, jonas is notably guilty of this (again)

So is Harewood, Carroll, Dannyboy and so on...

Sick of people singling out Jonas all the time...

Its not like he is the only offensive player we have.

At least he tries.

At least he tries? Who are you saying doesn't try?

How do people feel about Guthrie? He really needs to turn in a big performance, imo: is too often a passenger.

Really disappointed with him this season, thought he'd be good in this league, but he's just done.. nothing.

He is not a winger, that is the real problem...

Let him play in central, and let him get some consistency, and i think they boy will blossom...

It's a serious problem, because he's always drifting inside and backwards, to get into the playmaker role. We're out of shape on the right.

Harewood.

Jonas and Jose is the only ones with the movement to create something imo. We all know his end-product is horrible, but he has done a lot more than Guthrie on the right. We need more pace on the right, hopefully Hughton gives Pancrate a chance.

Seem to be intent on playing football in no other part of the pitch than our own third.

Our approach play has been ok, we've passed it around quite well...much better style of football than we've played of late but we've looked distinctly 2nd rate in the final third of the pitch. Jonas and Harewood wasteful, Nolan, Guthrie and Carroll not involved enough for me. Smith's looked decent apart from his customary attempt at GBH.

I agree he fails a lot, but he does try to bring the ball forward and attack.

I really cant say that there are so many other with that drive in this team.

The real problem imo is the strike pairing, its just not working.

Two pretty stationary towers. Add that to little movement around them.

And since they are so alike, they cant really "play" on each other either. (sounded way to gay.... ???)

So basically what i am asking, is to get Ranger or Løven in together with Carroll.

And let them play of him.

Final Score anyone?

I reckon 1-0 to the Toon.

As usual for this league, they look shite in front of goal, so hopefully something like that.

Think their front two are 1 in 7 and 1 in 8. If they score we want shooting.

We want shooting before they score surely, so we might get a goal?
