Colocho
Ever since Hughes got the manager job at City I've been waiting for him to be sacked and come to us tbh. A great manager imo just what we'll need next season.
TRon
Average manager, would have him in a flash Why bother? Might as well stick with Hughton, maybe he'll turn out to be an average manager. He got them to Europe on a shoe string. Roeder did that with us. One season at one club doesn't really prove a lot.

What?! Did you see the squad we had compared to theirs. He brought them the likes of Santa Cruz for £3.5M and sold him on for 6 times that. He was very good for them. Guest Alan Shearer 9
His interviews are nauseating, the way he fucking whinges and bemoans stuff to hide his own shortcomings is highly irritating.

Our aim was Champions League back then.
JH
He may not be good enough to lead a team to the Premier League, but I can't believe some people would turn their noses up at him. He's a decent manager.

He's a decent manager. Sam Allardyce was a decent manager in theory before he turned up here. It's only when you see them close up you realise their limitations. OzzieMandias
I don't really like the guy, but he's obviously pretty bright, can command respect, and maybe has a skill set better suited to a club with limited (as opposed to virtually unlimited, as at Man City) resources in the transfer market. So, well, yeah, maybe....
Liam Liam Liam O
Hughes has had an opportunity over the last 15 months that every other manager could only dream of having, and he hasn't done enough to convince them he's up to it. All these pundits and fans etc bleating about how unfair it all is on him are missing the massive irony of the unfair financial advantage he's had over other clubs in the last 15 months. matta
If we were taken over, and considering what he did with blackburn, i would let him have a chance here.
dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Is Hughton's contract only until the end of the season or longer? I would have Hughes here because as many people have said I don't think we could get a better manager.

Did you really expect him to do much better with a team of strangers that were brought in over the summer? To be fair he's only lost twice which is hardly awful.
