Pilko
About this time-ish last season when he replaced Perch he looked very good. He's got worse instead of better. Complacency, perhaps?
Sifu
About this time-ish last season when he replaced Perch he looked very good. He's got worse instead of better. Complacency, perhaps? The lack of competition at RB is probably a key factor. We signed Santon as our new left back so Simpson would still be our first choice RB. I, for one, reckon he can do better, just needs a kick up his arse. His personal problems seem to be behind him so hopefully he'll improve in the coming weeks.... timeEd32
Always seems that we need a whipping boy and Simpson's the latest. He's not top drawer, but the criticism he gets is OTT. Agree with this.

For me that should never be an issue with a professional sportsman. The fact he's not very good should be motivation enough to improve, not the fact that there's no one to replace him. I admire your faith in him that he will come good but for me he just isn't good enough. Never has been and never will be.
Ronaldo
Since Nolan and Barton left he's been getting noticed by the media an awful lot more. Wonder why that could be.
Amir_9
Drop him, fucking liability. Getting sick and tired of him. Shift Raylor to RB, play Santon at LB.
Mr. Snrub
Usually one for defending Simpson but he was terrible. Could near the sweat dripping off him every time he got the ball, didn't have a clue what to do.

taxfree
Always been a defender of him. Not because I think he's great, but because I think the criticism has been a bit over the top. Not anymore.
jdckelly
wasn't terrible but not great either
Zero
To be fair, a decent backup RB. His contribution is a let down but apart from that he is okay.
Nobody
Christ, I can't imagine what sort of abuse the lad would get if it was him that let Defoe turn that easily or caused the penalty.

Cajun
What did Bale do today btw? I posted this at 1:43pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have to say, most games (and I do it myself) we look at the opposition, think "shit, so and so is going to piss all over so and do" but here we are 7 games and 15 points in. It's like we have never managed to handle good players before and I don't just mean this season with that. If Sunderland have taught us anything, games aren't played on paper. HOWAY THE TOON! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pilko
He was bordering on adequate today, but it's still the fourth or fifth game this season that he's looked worse than the right midfielder playing left-back on our other flank. Bench time, Danny.
Minhosa
Apparently had the hump when he was taken off. Fuck knows why.
Cajun
Apparently had the hump when he was taken off. Fuck knows why. Because any player worth their salt wants to play? Would prefer that than the Guthrie method...

AliGupter
Always been a defender of him. Not because I think he's great, but because I think the criticism has been a bit over the top. Not anymore. Think last season he was reasonably solid, maybe because of Barton ahead of him, and got a lot of unfair criticism. This season he's been very poor, although he has obvious off the pitch issues to deal with. At the minute I'd rather have Ryan Taylor than him, couldn't imagine saying that 2 months ago.
