Anderson
I like him a little bit more that he has attacked his biggest fan, Lee Ryder Definitely. Still want him out the door mind.

Skirge
Transfer Talk: Newcastle United Danny Simpson And Fraser Forster Expected To Start Preseason Danny Simpson could stay at Newcastle United according to manager Alan Pardew. The 25-year-old and the Magpies have been at loggerheads over a new deal for the last 12 months, and Simpson rejected their latest offer at the end of last season. That action only served to accelerate the uncertainty around his future with West Ham, Fulham and QPR all reportedly interested in him. However, as his first-team squad prepare to return for pre-season fitness tests, Pardew was optimistic about his right-back's future. "He's got a year left on his deal," he told The Chronicle. "He turned down a new contract and that's where we are. Danny could play the whole season next year. We'll have to see." Pardew is also expecting Fraser Forster to report back for pre-season training at Newcastle, with the goalkeeper yet to secure a switch elsewhere. The highly-rated shot-stopper has been deemed surplus to requirements in recent years. He spent the 2009/10 campaign with Norwich City, and the last two seasons with SPL giants Celtic. The Hoops are known to be keen on doing a deal, but nothing has been agreed with Newcastle. West Ham United and Southampton are also reported to be weighing up an approach, but they too have yet to make a move. Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "At the moment he is coming back to us. "He will be with us until he finds a club and we find a fee that works for us." http://tyneandwear.sky.com/newcastleunited/article/23773

Jack Flash
He'd be excellent back-up. He wouldn't be. He's not versatile at all or even good enough to play in his normal position (at the level we're playing at/aiming for).
Ronaldo
Xisco will be expected back too.
AyeDubbleYoo
Unless we have some young fullbacks coming through the ranks, it's highly unlikely that we'll have a backup RB better than Simpson. If he's willing to stay without guarantees of first-team league football, that would be the best outcome IMO.

True BUT can't see him wanting that, him turning up for pre season don't mean he will be here by the end on the transfer window.

Plus the Taylor twins in an emergency.

Shak
From a footballing point of view bringing in Debuchy and keeping Simpson as backup would be pretty much ideal. Let Tavernier go out on loan for the year and get some experience. Can't see it happening though, we'll want a fee for him rather than letting his contract run down. Hope to fuck it's not a case of sell before we buy.
DJ_NUFC
Simmo doesn't do backup. From the way he's stalling over a new deal it's clear he thinks he should not only be a starter, but one of the top earners. Just guessing.
toontownman
Can't see him staying..unless we can't offload him and fail to get any RB targets. Pardew has already said previously he rates Tavernier as being almost as good as Simpson and a quick learner. Might as well cash in on Simpson while we can tbf if we rate Tavernier around the same. Guest magpie99
I think Simpson will leave, perhaps late on in the window for a couple of million. The precedent has been set with other players who refuse contracts at the club. I think we will use the funds from his sale to sign Clyne and I would really like to see Tavernier given a decent run.
