Danny Simpson (now retired)

Mike Ashley might just be the best business man in the world

You're right like, now I know how he's made a fortune from selling absolute s****.

Getting £5m for Simpson would be a monumental deal.

Especially when according to France Football Weekly the fee for Debuchy is 7m euros

I almost feel bad for them.

If Danny Simpson was a product I'd buy at a retailer with the impression of him having the attributes they've for some reason pictured, I'd return him after 2 minutes.

They are going to be so disappointed

For a sub 9th or so PL team there is nowt wrong with him, for a team looking at higher then yes he isnt good enough but the OTT comments from people on here are just stupid.

Painfully exposed positionally at times. Decent defender when you sit back. Can't play a high line, can't cross, can't pass, can't dribble.

Yeah don't really see why they'd be disappointed, he's never a top half right back but he'll work hard and be solid for them, they're not swansea and will care less than us for his lack of ball playing ability. Also Guthrie recommended him and convinced him apparently in a weird echo of Cabaye getting his right back mate here...IT'S LIKE CIRCLES WITHIN CIRCLES

Reading are putting together a nice little squad. Definitely doing a hell of a lot better than Southampton to Prem-ify their team.

Although, there was the rumours going around that City was going to cover that.

Think southampton will be fine, Lambert will be this season's Grant Holt and Lallana is ace.

Not to mention the possible arrival of Clyne and the fact they looked a better side than Reading last season.
