Someone who won't score to replace someone who won't score And goal king Carroll is hardly that much different is he. The reason I preferred Ranger is that he at least looks comfortable holding up the ball and laying it on, where as Ameobi was already on a warning for 2 big tackles (and got a yellow on his third a few minutes before coming off) and his contribution was fizzling out. Ranger is hungry and a bit better with the ball at his feat than Carroll. Carroll on the pitch just asks for long balls to him and he ain't that great at directing them to toon players.
