He's always been a bit of a versatiliy player having played much of the last few seasons in CM, but can play as a central defender or, where he's best, at right back. He's not highly rated across the fanbase simply because he doesn't possess much in the way of attacking quality and so, always frustrated in central midfield. Fantastic tackler, can read the game well enough and position himself accordingly, good enough Championship right back.
