Mike Williamson (now managing MK Dons)

You can't play the chance card with Taylor, man. He's had plenty of chances. And has usually ended up on the bench because of his inability to learn.

He has ended up on the bench cos he has been getting injured

Don't be so ridiculous, man. Injuries have only been a problem for him in the last year, prior that he's was relatively robust.

aye and that is why the seasons prior to that he played 27, 31 and 27 league games - so he didnt really end up on the bench "because of his inability to learn"

Guess what he's a limited defender who should've picked up his 3rd red for the season if the ref had seen it. I mean sure players get away with that and I'm happy with that. But i just knew Willy would do something like this. it's ridiculous especially since we're now without Willy, Colo and Barton for stupid things.

We will pay for their stupid actions. Unfortunately, but it just hurts that other teams get away with it especially national team players such as Gerrard and Huddlestone who seem to be favoured.

Ridiculous stuff from Colo, from Barton, from Willy and especially from the FA.

cunts

Souness, Roeder, Allardyce and Kinnear generally picked central defensive partnerships that didn't include him. Roeder had him mostly at FB, Kinnear quickly discovered that he wasn't up to it, as did Souness who even bought Boumsong because of it. Allardyce had him 4th choice behind Faye, Cacapa and Rozenhal.

They can't all be wrong. Hughton only started him last season because there was no alternative.

If they all think he is crap then I think it is safe to say he isnt  :coolsmiley:

Allardyce and Kinnear didnt rate Enrique either - so much so Kinnear was prepared to swap enrique for McManus

Keegan seemed to rate Taylor and he certainly featured in his side

The bashing Taylor is taking on here is completely over the top. He's good enough for the premier league. We need him for the next three games, end of.

Yep. Ridiculous over the top criticism. He's a steady away premier league defender. Never going to hit the heights but he's a solid squad player.

and the most likely of any of our defenders to score.

Strange thing is, the Taylor dislike always seems a N-O issue rather than at SJP. He'll no doubt get a good reception on Sunday after his lengthy lay off.

Taylor is strong and athletic, but he lacks composure and leadership qualities. That's what has held his career back.

Although he's the ideal build for a centre back, he's done better as a full back, because it's a simpler role and he has less responsibility.

Hopefully Campbell will keep him in order.

What about Saylor-Simpson-Campbell-Enrique?

Danny Simpson is just about a decent RB, but shouldn't even be considered as a CB.

Got no problem with a Saylor Campbell combo and given a bit of a run they'd be fine but neither has played much top table football lately and Drogba and Anelka are half decent strikers (assuming one or both are going to play). It will need a showing from both our guys to get something from this.
